Greater than one weekIm using this in an Apple HomeKit setup. I was really glad to see that you could set it up directly in HomeKit, and the setup was perfectly seamless. So many products require you to download the manufacturers app these days, which inevitably tries to gather your email, personal information, etc etc... its refreshing to have something that just works as hardware like its supposed to. The responsiveness through HomeKit is excellent as well. No delays when turning lights on through the app.

> 3 dayFirst off, I do not write reviews. This one made me do it out of pure frustration. For the Google and Alexa users, maybe your experience will be better. Apple HomeKit users, please read and find an alternative like I’m looking for currently. I feel like I need to visit a psychologist after dealing with these. I felt rage I had never felt before. It wasn’t a human emotion. I fully expect to wake up and have flashbacks. These SmArT pLuGs will make you want to summon Thor’s hammer and thunder pound these into dust. I’d rather Chuck Norris karate chop me in the throat before I’d set up four more of these things. All that being said, if you are the CHOSEN ONE and manage to get these connected to Apple HomeKit, they work great. Which they should for the hell you go through. Once your done, have a drink(s) or go out to a nice dinner. You deserve it.

> 3 dayGot this for the inside Christmas tree lights. Went with VOCO because I already had 2 LED bulbs. Works well and setup was easy once I got an iOS device to talk on the 2.4 GHz Wifi. NOTE. I have one Wifi name for both 2.4 and 5.0 and my iPhone 11 Pro would not make the distinction. Had to pull out an iPad Air 2 which was able to communicate over the 2.4 and get this configured. Otherwise I would have had to reconfigure the network names so that my device could access it. Google this if you do not understand. Going forward I will be looking to get Thread based not Wifi based smart home devices. But this was a decent price for what I needed it to do.

> 3 dayIve purchased a number of these and the majority work fine. But - I paid for all of them so they should all work fine. Right? They appear to be well made and once successfully installed they are reliable and stay connected to the HomeKit network. Their price is significantly less than competing products (Eve Energy, WeMo) but so far 1 out of 6 fail to connect during the initial setup. Support is only available via email and they expect you to take a screen recording of your setup process and send it to them. Folks, this isnt rocket science, and the setup procedure is very easy. They either connect or they dont. 6 resets later and it still wouldnt finish the setup process. So if I toss the failed one in the trash since they have not offered to replace it, the cost of the other 5 increases a bit. Still a good value but frustrating none the less.

> 3 dayHave not had these installed more than 15 minutes and Im on here to praise VOCOlinc. Setup was insanely easy: use their app or the Apple Home app; one finishes the job for the other--so you only have to go through the process once. I used the Home app, and then launched the VOCOlinc app to find it had been already setup. Changes I made in one would automatically show up in the other. These are GREAT! Im sticking with VOCOlinc if all their devices are this easy to setup and use.

> 3 dayI have multiple vocolink smart items including this plug and several led lights. They all set up easily and work great with Apple HokeKit without the need of a hub, something I cannot say for other brands that I have tried.

Greater than one weekLasted about a year then lost connection due to installing the vocolinc app to update firmware. Cant reconnect to HomeKit Over $80 in useless plugs. Do not buy. *Edited rating 4/17 - I shot-gunned enough fixes and found a solution.. I restored my iphone from a much earlier back up before the install broke the connection. I re-updated IOS and homekit. I factory reset the switch and tried it again and it was able to connect. This was probably over kill, but I could not find the specific solution online. What a MASSIVE pain to get these to work again. The plugs were fine until I tried updating the firmware through the app. something I will never mess with again. I will fix the 1 star review to a 4 star review.... because the plugs are fine, but the app is complete garbage. I should have read the other reviews before installing it.

> 3 dayAll right I’ve been dying to have a smart home. I wasn’t quite sure where to begin even though I live in the heart of Silicon Valley. I saw these accidentally when I was looking up lightbulbs that work with your smart phone and change color. I decided to give them a go because my husband falls asleep every single night with the TV on. Its absolutely blaring and it wakes me up at about three in the morning and I can’t locate the remote. So here’s my husband snoring without a care in the world and I’m scrambling around in our king size bed and can never find remote to turn the TV off. Now all I have to say is “Hey Siri turn of tv” and go back to bed. My husband was sooooooo shocked and impressed when I was setting it up. Works amazing. Just bought 2 more for the space heater and my daughter chandelier! It’s super easy to go in the app and name the item in different rooms that you want to be able to voice command. You can also share your login on the app with different family members so that they can use their siri voice command as well. This is super simple for anybody who feels they are not high tech and it works through the app that you download in your Apple phone and it’s super simple. These make you look like a high tech genius. Super excited I got them.

> 3 dayI have not been able to find a smart outlet that is a reasonable price that integrated with HomeKit until I bought these as my last straw before I gave up. Right out of the box, super easy to set up, no error messages like every other plugs, just easy simple and good. I didn’t mention yet either but, I’ve only set them up and connected them once. THEY ALWAYS WORK. You know if you have HomeKit devices it takes like a good three setups after a simple power outage. These connect right back up like it was never not connected. 10/10 recommend!!!
