> 3 dayAll right I’ve been dying to have a smart home. I wasn’t quite sure where to begin even though I live in the heart of Silicon Valley. I saw these accidentally when I was looking up lightbulbs that work with your smart phone and change color. I decided to give them a go because my husband falls asleep every single night with the TV on. Its absolutely blaring and it wakes me up at about three in the morning and I can’t locate the remote. So here’s my husband snoring without a care in the world and I’m scrambling around in our king size bed and can never find remote to turn the TV off. Now all I have to say is “Hey Siri turn of tv” and go back to bed. My husband was sooooooo shocked and impressed when I was setting it up. Works amazing. Just bought 2 more for the space heater and my daughter chandelier! It’s super easy to go in the app and name the item in different rooms that you want to be able to voice command. You can also share your login on the app with different family members so that they can use their siri voice command as well. This is super simple for anybody who feels they are not high tech and it works through the app that you download in your Apple phone and it’s super simple. These make you look like a high tech genius. Super excited I got them.

> 3 dayWorks great with iPhone and Homepod. I am able to schedule the time in the home app for automation which I found to be the most useful. I gave 4 star because sometimes the response from HomePod is slow. Other than that, its a great smart plug for Siri.

> 3 dayIve purchased a number of these and the majority work fine. But - I paid for all of them so they should all work fine. Right? They appear to be well made and once successfully installed they are reliable and stay connected to the HomeKit network. Their price is significantly less than competing products (Eve Energy, WeMo) but so far 1 out of 6 fail to connect during the initial setup. Support is only available via email and they expect you to take a screen recording of your setup process and send it to them. Folks, this isnt rocket science, and the setup procedure is very easy. They either connect or they dont. 6 resets later and it still wouldnt finish the setup process. So if I toss the failed one in the trash since they have not offered to replace it, the cost of the other 5 increases a bit. Still a good value but frustrating none the less.

> 3 dayThis is a no hassle product. Scan the QR code BEFORE you plug it into the wall outlet, just to make the QR code easy to scan. I had it set up and running in Apple Home, and responding to Siri commands, within about 2 minutes. No issues since. Turning on the studio lights and setting the room for my video podcasts happens in one short sentence.

> 3 dayI was hesitant to jump into the smart home game, because I knew it was an expensive road, full of maintenance and glitches, or so I thought. At $30 for two smart outlets, I found it very affordable and I decided to give it a try. WOW! Using Homekit, the setup was a breeze! Plug it in, open Homekit app, scan the QR code and there you go! Done! No HUB needed, these work right out of the box using only your phone and wifi. Setup takes 30 seconds. I was expecting a delay when turning lights on and off, but it is instant! Its fast enough you can click it on and off, over and over really fast, like a regular light switch to annoy your friends or family ;) Ive been using these plugs for the last month or so, and they are setup to automation and turn on 1 hour before sunrise, then turn off when we leave the house! Then, they turn on right before sunset and when I jump in bed I just say Goodnight! and they turn off with the siri voice shortcuts! I loved them so much that I bought two more, plus their smart Wi-Fi color changing light bulb. They all work together flawlessly and I can highly recommend these if you are starting out with a smart home.

Greater than one weekThese work really well but setup can be a pain if you have a 5Ghz network - it won’t work. But there’s a decent work around: Most 5GHz routers generate 2 networks, one of which is 2.4GHz, which this needs. Usually it’s something like “Network Name” and “Network Name-5g”. Before paring make sure your iPhone is on the 2.4GHz network and it’ll be fine. Otherwise you’ll get an error and can’t add it to HomeKit. Don’t worry, once it’s paired you can go back to the faster 5GHz on your phone, you only need to do it for pairing. This is the only thing that really sucks about this product because most people don’t know or care about their Wi-Fi band. So that’s not good. Once it’s setup these work like a dream with HomeKit. I already ordered another set because it’s a really great product aside from that one time hiccup.

> 3 dayLasted about a year then lost connection due to installing the vocolinc app to update firmware. Cant reconnect to HomeKit Over $80 in useless plugs. Do not buy. *Edited rating 4/17 - I shot-gunned enough fixes and found a solution.. I restored my iphone from a much earlier back up before the install broke the connection. I re-updated IOS and homekit. I factory reset the switch and tried it again and it was able to connect. This was probably over kill, but I could not find the specific solution online. What a MASSIVE pain to get these to work again. The plugs were fine until I tried updating the firmware through the app. something I will never mess with again. I will fix the 1 star review to a 4 star review.... because the plugs are fine, but the app is complete garbage. I should have read the other reviews before installing it.
