I can honestly say I was very surprised how much my son loves this giraffe. The little nubs and legs are great for putting different geometries inside babies’ mouths, and now that my son is teething, he gets the biggest smile when I pull out this toy. One thing to note is that the company warns against getting water inside the squeak hole. It can get trapped in there, and apparently some giraffes were found to have mold in them a few years back. I usually just put my thumb over it while washing her off and it seems to be fine. She is a little expensive for the size of toy that she is, but I think this toy is well worth the price tag. Not made in China (like so many toys sold in the US today), but in France, you can feel how good the materials used to make Sophie are by just picking her up. Definitely would recommend to parents of teething babies, and just babies in general.

I bought one of these for my son, and from day one he has adored it - it comes everywhere with us and he always has it in his mouth or swinging around. It lasted through cutting his front teeth, but it got so much attention that the plastic finally started to crack. We ended up replacing it, and Sophie continues to be one of his most favorite toys. We got this as a gift for a friend’s newborn, and not only did she love receiving it but her son is just as obsessed with his Sophie as our son. It’s really great quality, easy for little hands, and easy to clean. I highly recommend.

The product I received is an authentic and beautiful Sophie la Giraffe! I was happy to find out I could verify the product authenticity by scanning an hologram on the back of the packaging. The product is identical to the one I was playing with as a kid growing up in France 30 years ago. The look, the smell, the squeaky sound, everything is precisely the same! The toy is still made in the same factory in France as it always was. The instructions are written on the packaging and available in multiple languages. I noticed the French and English instructions are written without any grammatical errors. This is very rare nowadays since most manufacturers use automatic translations. Thank you Vulli for caring about the details, at least one person appreciates it. Sophie is such a classic toy with its iconic design, it makes both babies and nostalgic parents happy! Sophie Giraffe is soft and ultra flexible. The toy/teether fits in a babys hand perfectly. Ive given several new moms this gift for their baby & always get smiles of appreciation in the months to come when their little one gets acquainted with Sophie.

It has a nice feel and should be great for teething but the $24.99 price tag is about $15 too much! Sending it back.

Gave this to my baby niece and she loved it! Shes 7-8 months and wanting to put everything in her mouth, so this was perfect. She chews on different parts of the giraffe. I think for those who worry about the spots peeling, they may peel or fade precisely because they are made from natural coloring and not chemical stuff. Id be more worried if they didnt because that would probably mean it was way more potent ink. The packaging and all of the explanations inside and around make me trust that this is a well-thought-out product with many potential benefits for baby stimulation, and not just some random toy. I do feel its a bit expensive though, but apparently Ill buy anything for my princess.

My son is almost 6 months. I bought this off a recommendation and did not think it would be as big of a hit as it is. There are very few toys that my son holds onto and will play with consistently - this is one of them. He loves Sophie! The long neck and legs makes it easy to hold. All the limbs also make it easy for him to bite on no matter how he’s holding it. And it’s soft enough for him to make the squeaking noise on his own! Definitely worth the money.
