> 3 dayNeeded for the PS5 due to the poor storage it has and this was the perfect solution for the PS4 games I still play.

> 3 dayI finally got tired of deleting games to make room for newer ones on my PS5. Pick and choosing, downloading and deleting sucks so I decided to get this SSD. So far so good! This SSD is just as fast as the internal SSD that comes with the PS5. All the loading times for my games are pretty much the same with this SSD as the PS5. And if youre worried about how to install it, do not worry about it, its that easy. Just plug it into your PS5 and go to your external storage under settings, a format button should pop up and thats it. Simple and clean.

> 3 dayI am using this drive for PS5 expansion. It gets very warm almost hot to the touch even when NOT being accessed (playing games from internal) and just being connected. I cant imagine this lasting very long, heat destroys electronics causing to fail prematurely. Maybe this is not an issue for a PC but for PS5 it is.

Greater than one weekPerfect for game storage! Can play ps4 games off drive but must teansfer to consol for ps5 games to play. Still is much faster than having to reinstall off the store.

> 3 dayThis is my first Auxiliary Drive for my PS5. It was super easy to install (the PS5 software guides you right through it). I moved all PS4 games to it and play them directly from the drive. There have been absolutely no delays or glitches and Ive freed up a ton of space on my main console (Just in time for God of War Ragnarok).

> 3 dayIts a bit expensive (5X what a cheap generic costs,) but it works on the Play Station 5 platform - which is what I needed...

> 3 dayThe drive is very fast, running at speed up to the 1500 MB/s range when connected to a USB 3.2x2 20Gb/s port, and up to the 800 MB/s range when connected to a USB-C 3.2/3.1 10Gb/s port. On the other hand, if you are to connect the drive to a USB-A port, you are in very bad luck. Even with a USB-A 3.2/3.1 10Gb/s port, the drive only gives around 50 MB/s speed (which is consistent with product reviews on various tech websites), making it worse than some flash drives. This is probably due to a sub-par USB-C to USB-A cable from WD.

> 3 dayWorks great. Does allow for loading things faster than a speedy HDD. As others mention though, it was weird having to “shove” the USB-C cable harder into the SSD port, because otherwise it would refuse to be recognized by my PS4Pro.
