I love SSD. When installing this drive on my PS4 (also works with my XBOX, but I already have one of these, the 4TB model, on it) it is simple as can be. Just plug it in, go into the PS4 setting and select it as external storage. I then direct the game system to install (or copy) games there. And WOW is the launch speed improvement huge. GTA, for instance, launches twice as fast. Not to mention having an extra 1TB of storage space a really nice thing.

First thing to know is that you will need the latest USB 3.2 support on the motherboard to take advantage of the high speed transfer. This is not common yet.

This is exactly what I wanted and it delivers above and beyond. I transferred 2 games totalling 65GB and it took around 3 minutes!!! That is insane!

SSD drives are the way of the future. With no moving parts to worry about, they tend to be more reliable than traditional hard drives and less prone to mechanical failure. They are still EXPENSIVE -- the cost-per-gig ratio is very much in the favor of traditional drives -- but if you value speed and your data, they are the way to go.

Bought this for my son to use as an external drive for video editing. He needed more storage connected to his iMac for his file cache in Adobe After Effects, so speed was critical. Per his comments he is both really satisfied with the performance, reliability, and that it runs cool. Overall, hes very happy with it and get better performance from his apps now that the file cache is off the system drive.

Works great so far. Plugged it in, formatted it, was able to transfer PS4 and PS5 game files to it.

The actual read/write speed of this drive has already been documented by other buyers. The speed is greatly dependent on the computer interface. It seems to be best with USB 3.2. My fastest interface is USB 3.1. Still I copied a 2,672,000 byte file to the drive in 9.24 seconds which seemed quite fast to me. Read/Write speed isnt a top parameter for me. Most drives are fast enough for me. Im just a home user.

I like everything about this. Price for what you get is great. Transfer speeds are fantastic. I plug it into the high speed USB port on my Xbox, boom, games load in moments. Only weird thing is that it gets really hot.

Small portable ssd and super fast performance with massive 3.68tb of storage space. If you have massive digital library of games like me. Holds my entire PS4 catalog with 1.8 free space have 103 games on it. Games runs way better than on my old PS4 Pro with ssd no more loud fan for certain games. Since putting games on portable ssd I see no or hardly difference to loading times for most part. If you need the space and have the money its worth it.
