> 3 dayThis is an exceptional watercolor. Used by students and professionals. If new to watercolors, go directly to Windsor Ottoman.

> 3 dayWinsor Newton Cotman colors are actually very lovely and an excellent value. The hues are beautiful, mix well, and perform infinitely better than similarly priced student grade paints. I absolutely would recommend Winsor Newton brand watercolors for beginners or for anyone who isnt looking to spend too much on watercolor paint. HOWEVER-- I, like a few others here, received an incomplete set of paints. The colors were not the same as indicated on the packaging. At first I did not mind, but when working with such a small and limited palette, its essential to have certain colors, and those colors were not all there. The same was true for my Winsor Newton 45 set. I returned/am returning both and replacing them with another (more expensive) brand. Winsor Newton Cotmans are excellent paints, but I would not recommend at all purchasing them from Amazon until this issue is resolved.

> 3 dayI had the one with the tiny paint brush for 5 years and it’s still doing good! Good quality! Love love love! Make sure to leave the lid open to allow them to dry properly.

> 3 dayI have A LOT of professional, expensive paints, which are great. But Cotman paints, while not professional, are AWESOME. They’re affordable, easy to rewet, compact, beautiful colors, etc. I think these “student grade” watercolors are WAY above any of the other student grade watercolors on the market. I actually bought the Cotman 48 color set to expand my professional color pallete because I think they’re so great. This little set is great for a minimal desk pallete or a travel pallete.

Greater than one weekWatercolors are the best to start with, but the water brush is no good. I would have preferred to buy the normal box that does not come with black watercolor that the truth is not very useful and comes with a better brush.

Greater than one weekThe colors were more vibrant than I would have liked. Was going to use them for painting landscape on the go during hikes, but will now be using them for coloring cartoons figures. Half pans jostle around in the tray a bit, but the quality of the paint itself was pretty good. Hardly require any wetting! Brushpen was semi-faulty.
