WiOn 50050 Indoor WiFi Plug With 1 Grounded Outlet; White

Worth the money. Have had these in use for several years. We use them to control heaters in small equipment sheds without having to leave the house. These are indoor units. We also have two outdoor units to control heaters in our work trailers. We had one go out so we had to purchase a new one. Bought this set of two so we have a back-up. Will buy again and again.

These work really well. The set up instructions are simple to follow but the technology will not work first try. You will need a lot of patience to get it to work. If it seems to be more trouble to set up than it’s worth, hang in there. You’ll have to repeat the same steps over and over and over. Then wait. Their technology takes a while to catch up with your prompts. It will finally work. Once it’s set up, it works extremely well. The app is easy to use once set up.

Pretty simple to set-up and use. You can program to turn on and off at specific times and of course control it from your phone.

Just awful! It does not remember whether its supposed to be on or not, if the power goes out. It just shuts itself off. If you have it plugged in, and its on, and there is a blip in your power, then when the power comes back on, the Wion switch decides to be off, even if it supposed to be on. Has its own internal timer that when I set it to come on at 12:00 am and turn off at 11:59 pm (always on) it still will not turn itself on if the power goes out. You would think that a smart outlet would know whether its supposed to be on or not, by checking the Schedule when it comes on. It doesnt do that. Just stays off.

A bit too clunky in size but overall it does its job when I say alexa turn in kids plug it never fails

The device is supposed to connect to your homes router, but when I scan for networks, it doesnt see either of my two home Wi-Fi networks. It sees my neighbors networks, but doesnt see mine. There must me some incompatibility with my router. My internet service is Spectrum and the router is provided by Spectrum. Without being able to connect to your router makes it useless.

Can only use one schedule for all devices. Would rather have a device that can have multiple schedules for multiple decices.

I love my WIONs!! Connecting to the app on my smartphone, I can control down to the minute when my Christmas interior Christmas lights turn on and off, and can control each day individually. Super-convenient when you want to turn the lights off when you go to bed and get up.

What a product! What a convenience! I bought this and WiOn 50052 and 50049 and they have made my life Sooooo much easier. Im using 50052 for the lights on the front porch which is controlled from a switch inside the front door, use this for the living room and 50049 for outside lights which light up outside landscape. All controlled from one app on my iPhone. Although they are all scheduled and dont need me to mess with them every day, but I, often, override the schedule and change them as needed; from home or if Im miles away. As long as I have internet connection, which is almost anywhere, Im connected. Writing this review five months after purchase and very very happy with them. Highly recommended.

Easy to install, the app work find, only one issue after a power outage for few minutes and the power was restarted this device lock and stop working, I was able to unlocked after unplugged for the power wai for few minutes reset and reinstalled the app, them was back working.
