WiOn 50050 Indoor WiFi Plug With 1 Grounded Outlet; White

Just awful! It does not remember whether its supposed to be on or not, if the power goes out. It just shuts itself off. If you have it plugged in, and its on, and there is a blip in your power, then when the power comes back on, the Wion switch decides to be off, even if it supposed to be on. Has its own internal timer that when I set it to come on at 12:00 am and turn off at 11:59 pm (always on) it still will not turn itself on if the power goes out. You would think that a smart outlet would know whether its supposed to be on or not, by checking the Schedule when it comes on. It doesnt do that. Just stays off.

Works like a charm! Ive tried several RF switches and always had problems with them. This Wi-Fi enabled outlet works perfectly every time. The app runs on your smart phone. I only wish they had one for my laptop. Would recommend and would buy again.

I purchased 14 of these over 3 years through Amazon. Recently the APP seems to have stopped working and some existing devices have dropped off my network. Tried to connect 2 new out of the box devices and they wont connect to a network. They wont even enter the set up screen in the APP. Not sure if Woods is out of business or what is going on but when I reset devices already connected to my network, they wont reconnect and cant be set up to talk to a network. Very disappointing after investing hundreds of dollars.

Can only use one schedule for all devices. Would rather have a device that can have multiple schedules for multiple decices.

I bought two of these last year and liked them since they worked well with a timer. Bought more this year and could not install them since apparently it doesn’t work with iOS 16. I ended up using my old phone to get them working but that was a pain in the butt after spending 2 hours trying to get them connected to my phone and talking to their online chat person.

This product is okay as an alternative to home security. I only needed minimal home security in simulating someone being at home. I have this installed with a floor lamp, a TV and a floor standing electric fan. The good thing about this unit is that it has timers to choose from. Random, customized, or vacation. The units that are plugged into this outlet turns on and off randomly or you can fully control it with the app and turn it on or off whenever you want. The setup was a breeze, it only took 2 minutes. The only downside to this wifi outlet is that sometimes, it doesnt read the wifi connection. This may be a location-within-the-house problem (i.e. in between walls, distance from the wifi router, etc). I noticed there are times that it takes a few minutes to connect. All I have to do is close the app and reopen it and somehow that corrects the problem. Other than that, I wouldve (not would of) given this unit 5 stars and I can recommend this item.

Love these. I now have four of them, also one power strip and one for outside. They all work great. It is so nice to be able to set up everything from my phone and was very easy to do. I was able to set them up with my echo also so I can have Alexa turn them on and off also.

The picture in the listing shows two outlet adapters but there is just one in the box.

The smart plug and app worked great for a few years until I upgraded my WIFI. After the upgrading the WIFI, the WiOns app would no longer function. I called their customer support and WiOn WANTED ME TO PAY $99.00 TO FIX THEIR APP. No thank you. I did find any Unapproved WIFI list in the literature. If WiOn would fix their app, they would not have any need for the aforementioned Unapproved WIFI list. FYI: The app would not function with the Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh Wi-Fi. Otherwise their smart plug performed very well until upgrading to the eero Wi-Fi.

I like these plugs but the photo is very misleading. You have to read down a long way to find out youre getting one plug.
