> 24 hourI purchased this for my holiday lights in 2018. It has worked since then well and since I had different items to plug in and control the three outlets were convenient. In the summer I reprogram and use it for fountain lighting. Its simple to change the program. It would be nice if each outlet could be controlled separately, but at this price, one could purchase another unit if thats required. Its also nice to be able to turn it on and off with phone rather than unplugging and plugging in unit for testing or maintenance purposes. I do recall I did have difficultly setting it up for the first time and instructions were minimal. Once setup it made sense, but I hope I dont have to do it again.

> 24 hourI have just installed the WiOn outdoor Wi-Fi power stake and LOVE its functionality: my Android Smart Phone controls the outdoor lights reliably, and the app allows setting up an automated on-off schedule easily. The initial adding of the device to my home network however was a BEAR (and I have worked with computers for over 30 years and LOVE to play with technology). What I learned: 1) the included directions suggest using their scannable link to download the WiON app to my adroid phone which did not work (I went to Google Play and downloaded the WiON app manually); 2) you are instructed to choose the WiON stake from available devices on your SmartPhone WiFi settings BUT it is not made clear that what you are looking for is a device which begins with ECO- followed by a string of random numbers; 3) You are then told to select in the WiON app the router you wish to connect the power stake to which suggests a hardware name (each router does in fact have a hardware name) when what is meant is the network name (sometime called the SSID); 4)You are then told to enter information in the app (zip code, device name (the name you wish to associate with the power stake you are installing, for example Stake1), followed by the WiFi router password (which really means the network password of the SSID in step 3); 4) When done you select SAVE SETTINGS in the app but this option did not appear on the SmartPhone screen until I blanked out the keyboard used to enter zip code, etc. Having written instructions I know it is hard, but these instructions make the task seem impossible. It is not, but you have to be careful to say what you mean. Thanks for a great product (I hope); please improve documentation; and I have set a calendar reminder to update this on January 10 to see if I remain cautiously supportive.

> 24 hourYou need a good wifi router or extender to reach through walls and outside. If too far from your source it may not work. Mine does. Good luck..

> 24 hourThis has been nothing short of amazing. I love that it hooks up to the wifi, and using an app on my phone to turn it on or off has made things so simple. The timer works beautifully as well.

> 24 hourAfter playing with the tp-link/kasa indoor smart plugs this feels rather old fashioned, you need to go into the wifi settings and connect directly to it manually, then go into the app, rather than do everything from the app. Instructions say once connected it will ask for router and password, but it never does. I was only able to setup a schedule and use it as a timed outlet with my current phone, however that leaves it sitting as an open access point anyone can connect to and change at will and isnt quite what I was expecting from the instructions or description. Googling everything refers to wionproducts.com, but that is a dead site as of Sept 28, 2018 according to godaddys This Web page is parked page which doesnt bode well for future updates. I finally figured it out reading that the app says it works with android 4 I dusted off my ancient Motorola Droid Razr M (android 4.4) and got it to connect to the router and it did what the instructions say it will! Once connected to the router my current android phone can use it now, but you need an old phone to set it up initially if you are using android, android 9 doesnt appear to work with the setup part of the app. I was going to give 2 stars, but bumpped up to 3 based on the low price. Once I got past the setup hurdles it does work but it is not in the same category as more modern smart outlets. (dated app, no google support, no ifttt support, etc.)

> 24 hourMine works great. I know theres been some negative reviews of this, but mine is hooked up outside to my rope lights, stereo speakers.....and it hasnt let me down. If you use it with Amazon Echo just tell Alexa to turn it on. I ordered a second one.
