Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle UVB Heat Lighting Kit

I bought this about a month ago and one of the lights go off and on like possibly one of the wires has a short or something.

My Red ear turtle enjoy this lights.

My turtle loves its lamp. sunbathes all the time now.

This would have gotten 5 stars, except that the bulb is longer than the fixture, so you cant actually rest it directly on a metal mesh top. The rest of the kit is perfect, they include both kinds of bulbs that you will need for caring for a turtle. Just make sure you buy the mount for it.

The only issue I found was that one of the light bulbs stuck out farther than the dome itself. i have mine hanging about the turtle tank but that could become an issue later on down the road if I needed to set it on a screen or something. Other then that, this is a wonderful product and the price was really good compared to the other pet stores that I looked at.

I have to be honest I was ify about this when I purchased it (and it did arrive on time so shipping was good and seller was on point) and after an hour after i set it up my turtles was basking and happy I have two baby RES so this is perfect for babys to juveniles. I might upgrade to the deep dome later (when they grow to adult) but this will do untill then. I did have problems with the uvb bulb but it was my fault not the sellers and i contacted Zoomed for replacement and they sent me a new bulb with no problems so overall definitely would recommend this to anyone with young turtles.

The only good thing about this was how long it took to get here but other then that the box was damaged (as u can see in the picture) and the Lightbulbs DONT work.

The delivered UVB fluorescent lamp sticks out 1/3 past the housing so you cant just set it on a tank screen! The product description, Deep dome extends beyond the face of the lamp preventing the lamp from sticking out, 12/1/2015. What a load of BS...

Works as advertised. Our turtles love basking under it. I also like that theres a switch for each lamp.
