Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle UVB Heat Lighting Kit

I got it today and UV light is already broken.

I got it faster than anticipated which really helps during this stay at home order. The packing and items are brand new. Easy to assemble. And since it comes with the correct bulbs I know itll be safe for our turtle and his environment. The price is lower than other websites. My last lamp lasted 5 yrs until I dropped it in the water ooops. We used to have a metal aquarium cover and had no problems with the lamp touching directly. Now we made a basking area with egg crate. The heat is melting it slightly so I ordered a stand just to be safe.

This holds the bulbs at the same time and the box contains both bulbs.

This is a great choice since it takes a little less space than having 2 seperate light domes. My red eared slider loved it as he would get both lights at once. It also provides some lighting to my 40 gallon tank.

It was working great, then in less than a month the heat bulb fell apart. The replacement bulbs arent that cheap. I was quite surprised the lens to just fall off.

I like this lamp combo. Just be sure that you get it placed the right distance from your pet. Too close, you could scorch them, too far, they dont get the right amount of heat or UVB.
