Zoo Med Turtle Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamp

If youve ever had a light shatter when it got splashed....you need to try Turtle Tuff Splashproof Halogen. It is the only light I use in my tanks now. I dont have to worry about coming home to a glass filled tank. Great buy, worth the higher price. Wish more pet stores carried it.

I bought this bulb for my turtle in November and its still going strong. I havent had any problems with it. I leave it on for 12 hours a day.

The hours of usage is not accurate. I keep my bulb on for my RES turtle probably 10-12 hours a day, and the bulb only lasts me probably a month till I have to replace it. Ive tried both the 50 and the 75 watt, both are the same. Ill get like 300-350 max use time. 2500 hours doesnt even come close

Bulb lasts for 8 months and its plastic so it doesnt shatter when water hits it. I use it for my red rated slider and wont buy a different brand again.

My turtle loves this light. They all pile up on each other on the log to get to this light. This light is a must if you have issues with getting natural light for your turtles.

Quality seems to be decreasing. my first purchased lasted a few years. Then I started buying them annually. Now they cant even last 5 months
