Zoo Med Turtle Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamp

Works good and does its job nicely my only biff would be that my bulb burnt out after about 3 months with non constant use, but it works well for my turtle so I dont think there are others that do much better than these

Perfect replacement for my ZooMed UV/heating lamp. The UV build is still going strong. I needed this heating lamp after 3 months of use on the previous one.

I have had an adult RES for nearly a decade. Every light Ive ever purchased from Zoo Med has burned out well before its stated average number of hours. I bought the Turtle Tuff light when I was unable to find my preferred brand in December of 2011 - and it burned out after six weeks! Thats only 336 hours of usage, not the 2500 hours advertised. This isnt the exception, but the rule. Zoo Med lights are poorly made and I wouldnt recommend them to any herp owner. Avoid at all costs!

Exactly what I needed to keep my turtles happy. This bulb seems to last and Ive been using it for couple months now without any issues what so ever.

I plugged this for a period of 5 minutes where I noticed it to be blinking and then just like that it burned out. I didnt pay for a single faulty light bulb only for it to die shortly after I set it up.

My turtle loves this light. They all pile up on each other on the log to get to this light. This light is a must if you have issues with getting natural light for your turtles.
