Great product. I ordered one awhile ago and it is still going strong! My turtle loves to bask and is always underneath the bulb falling asleep. This provides the perfect temperature for my turtle and if you need a basking light. You should absolutely order this!

I bought two. One is still going strong, but the other burned out at about 700 hours (I run them 12 hours a day on a timer). Pretty pissed that a $10 bulb lasted 1/3 of the time it should have...

I use this as an alternative to a water heater. The turtle loves it. I turn it on for about 5 hours per day. So far, so good.

Perfect for my red-eared sliders. Plus I got it way sooner than expected.

Quality seems to be decreasing. my first purchased lasted a few years. Then I started buying them annually. Now they cant even last 5 months

I received this in the Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Uvb & Heat Lighting Kit that I bought a week ago. After using it one week (10-12 hours per day), I came home to find the cover hanging off of the rest of the light. The glue hadnt held the cover on, leaving it vulnerable to splashes from the turtle in my aquarium. As one half of the Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Uvb & Heat Lighting Kit hadnt worked upon receipt, they sent me a new kit which, which I installed yesterday, along with a new bulb (this product). Today, while I had my turtle away from the light, in her feeding tub, I heard a pop sound and went to the aquarium to find that after less than 10 hours of use, the cover on the new bulb had also popped off and fallen between the slots on my aquarium cover, landing at the bottom of the tank to be fished out. So two brand new bulbs failed within a week. Not impressed. Glad I was here when it happened so that I could take the uncovered bulb away from the tank. Ive never seen my turtle splash when getting in and out of the water, but it still felt too risky to leave the bulb in place uncovered since it can burst if it gets splashed. Off to the pet store now to find a different brand replacement bulb.

This is the perfect lamp for my red-eared slider turtle. She will bask in the light for the longest time. After adding the lamp, she grew by leaps and bounds! It made her happy. I have it clipped on the side of the aquarium as instructed-not clipped on the glass. Ive had no trouble with this product and highly recommend it.

Perfect for our RES turtle when it gets too cold outside. He sits right on top of his rock and enjoys the heat from this lamp in his inside tank. When it goes out, we will continue buying the same one from the same seller. Delivered on time and packaged well. If your turtle is a water species then keep track of the water levels constantly because this will evaporate water quickly.
