This bulb is for warmth and provides a great basking spot for your turtle, especially in a smaller enclosure. This provides a really great warm spot for my turtle when kept within 6-8 inches of their basking spot. The bulb is a little heavy and Im not sure Ill get a chance to test just how splash proof it is.

Easy to use and store. The turtles just love the food. That makes me very happy.

I use this as an alternative to a water heater. The turtle loves it. I turn it on for about 5 hours per day. So far, so good.

This light has very thick glass and is working well providing light to the turtle. I asked if he liked it and he just continued to snooze under it... I guess its okay.

I bought two. One is still going strong, but the other burned out at about 700 hours (I run them 12 hours a day on a timer). Pretty pissed that a $10 bulb lasted 1/3 of the time it should have...

My turtles love this light! They are constantly hovering under its glow. It helps make the shells healthier and the turtles happier. I cant really ask for more than that!

I bought this on July 1st and the bulb just went out. I still have one that has lasted for 2 years that we purchased at a store. So, I was shocked when this one went out so soon.

Lots of people complain that these dont last very long. I have 2 of these lights for 2 different setups and after 6 months had to replace my first bulb. Well see how long my replacement lasts, but the original bulbs lasted longer that I would have expected them.
