Zoo Med Turtle Tuff Splashproof Halogen Lamp

Ive been buying these bulbs for the last couple of years. They usually last me a little less than a year. My turtle loves basking under it.

I have purchased three of these already. The first one lasted a very long time (6+ months), the second unfortunately only lasted about 2-3 months. Ive hard the 3rd one for about 3 months now and I am hoping itll last a long time. The glass on the bulb is very sturdy and thick which puts me at ease in case any water happens to splash on it.

It works, theres just visible oxidation of the copper (from brown to green) connecting the bulb and the golden colored socket, I connected it and it turns on to a light yellow, pretty good brightness. Shipping was bad, it was stuffed in the mailbox, USPS shipped. Didnt leave it at front porch, and the box was a bit crushed, I was worried that the bulb was going to be broken but it was safe inside, as the bulb is small. EDIT: broke after 2 months :/, thats just it, stopped working after

Turtle is happy again. Wish they lasted longer.

Lasted 5 weeks and burned out

Ive gone through about 4 of these now. The first one lasted almost a year but every one Ive bought since had lasted at the most 4 months. The latest only 2. When its working its great.

My turtle loves this light. They all pile up on each other on the log to get to this light. This light is a must if you have issues with getting natural light for your turtles.

The original bulb lasted years. This replacement bulb lasted 2 months and was only on 12 hours per day. What a waste of money!
