> 3 dayIts shiny, its hard, its magnetic, seems to be exactly what I ordered. Im no expert in making sure its exactly the type/hardness its supposed to be, but either way its steel, and the dimensions are correct. Came packaged well, no moisture, no rust. Ill be sure to update this review after working with some of the pieces, but Im sure Ill be just as pleased with it then as I am now. If you need some small pieces of flat stock for making things, this will do just fine.

> 3 dayGot this XIOBTQT 1095 Bar Stock 12x1.5x0.12in 4-pack for stock removal knife making. First project, and test for this review, was to replace the ~420 stainless blade of a knockoff K-BAR I got back in the late 90s, keeping the original guard, handle, end cap, and sheath. Design is atypical bar stock 12in x 1.5in x 0.12in with a polished finish. Build quality is decent but tiny bit thin, at first my caliper had inconsistent measurements between 0.1200in to 0.1300in due to a bur around the edge, removing the bur reveals this is only 0.1180in thick, but the width is good at 1.5030in and length is good at a tiny bit over 12in. No warps, no tarnishing, no defects other than the bur around the edge. Functionality seems good as far as I can test it, this steel makes a good blade, but Im not testing to failure or doing anything extreme with it. Price point is good, a bit less than similar items, and $1 less than original listing price. Overall, 4 stars, good steel but thin.

> 3 dayProbably not the cheapest way to buy 1095 stock, but if you dont have a metal supply store near you, this is a convenient form factor for a knife blank or two. Cold rolled and partially annealed, this arrived at about 310 Vickers. For a stock removal forming process, thats fine-- it doesnt skate a file. There was a bit of a bow, which isnt uncommon with partial annealing of cold rolled, but might frustrate a beginner who got the most warped piece they ship and cant easily flatten it. But it was well packed in anti-corrosive and I measured it at 0.10.

> 3 dayThese pieces are great, very little cleaning up before using them. I dont personally forge, I got these for welding practice, but they are cleaner than the steel you can buy just about anywhere. Most of that takes a decent amount of work to clean off, but not these. Im sure forgers would appreciate it too. I have no idea if they are the steel they say they are, but certainly seem to be excellent steel.

> 3 dayThese flat stock pieces are perfect for getting knife making started. They came packed tightly and very clean with no rust spots. Will work well for various sizes of knifes. Good price for the material.

> 3 dayThe strips are of excellent quality for making things on a laser cutting machine. I would recommend them for the cost and the use ability

> 3 dayDecent price. Arrived with some tarnish on one bar. Two of the bars arrived with significant and visible warping. I am doing stock removal knives, so the warping is a big issue. I will have to try to correct the warping with heat treating.
