Greater than one weekThese 1095 steel plates are perfect for making knives or other edged implements. All of the bars were uniform and ready to be forged into whatever I want. Theyre very good quality.

> 3 dayMy husband is a full time bladesmith. I ordered these on a whim as he is teaching a class in the near future and was hoping to not have to use more of his high quality, expensive steel to teach damascas basics. He was excited when he saw these and was surprised that they were so clean. The measurements were also spot on which is relatively rare these days. None were bowed nor crooked. He said it was very sturdy and each blank was very clean and very strong with very minimal flexing. Hes excited to see how they handle under some heat.

> 3 daywell the steel was blemish free, flat straight and rust free.. nice if your getting into blacksmithing! I would have no worries about ordering this item ! can I prove the material is what it claims to be ...no can I make a blade out of it and find joy in the journey.. Yes !

> 3 daySteel was carefully and securely wrapped in oil paper. A few scratches on some of the bars. The dimensions (see pictures) are slightly less than the 12 x 1/2 x 1/8. Two bars were pretty straight, but the third one had a slight bow. These bars are going to be cut, ground, heat treated, etc, so none of theses things IMHO are major issues, but I point them out for anyone who is relying on specific dimensions for their project.

> 3 dayThese knife blanks are just the right size for making knives from small to large. The knife in the picture was not made from one of these blanks. I just used it for a size reference as it is a large butcher knife. The steel arrived in good shape with no rust and it is straight and well cut with no sharp burrs. 1095 is a probably the most widely used steel in knife making and should harden and hold an edge well.

> 3 dayMy son and his uncle have a hobby of knife making with a home made forge. They stated that this was hard steel that was able to be worked into a knife.

> 3 daythats what im calling cheap but best. after finishing cutting edge is razor sharp, but really needs oiling after using, because even after one single day its surface getting rust

> 3 dayTheres not a lot to say about steel blanks, but these are as advertised: well-packaged, corrosion-free, dimensions are as promised. I lack the lab equipment to verify the carbon content, but Im confident these are going to produce excellent results.

> 3 dayNice blanks. Came without any tarnish and are very flat with no deviation, oiled in wax paper and bubble wrap. I tried to bend one on the bench and it was very strong with minor flexing. All in all, worth the money. Time will tell how well they are when creating a blade, but we shall see. Worth it.
