Greater than one weekDont listen to the two-star review by some Amazon_Customer who claims that the ball bearing spring is not strong enough to hold heavy (18mm+) deep impact sockets. I have to disagree 100% with that claim. I have a set of 1/2 drive deep impact sockets ranging in size from 7/16 to 1 1/4, and the clips on this socket rail will EASILY retain those sockets, even when the rail is held up-side-down. This rail with all of those sockets weighs 8 1/2 pounds, and I can easily lift the whole thing by grasping only two sockets. Now of course, with impact sockets, you do have to correctly position the socket on the clip so that the ball on the clip engages the hole in the side of the socket. Otherwise, you definitely will have trouble with poor socket retention. My only complaint is that there is nothing to keep the clips from sliding off the end of the rail except for the rubber end caps, and those would be insufficient for retaining a rail-full of heavy sockets if the rail were hung vertically. The obvious solution to that is to put a small bolt through one of the end holes. So that isnt really a problem if you work in a mechanic shop and have easy access to bolts of all sizes, but Olsa really needs to rectify this flaw. Other than that, this is a great socket holder.

> 3 dayI put impact sockets on these. They stay held on better than what I have used in the past. They could clip on a little harder but even the large sockets don’t fall off so I’m happy

> 3 dayI bought a large socket set years ago from a big box retailer. The case they came in did not hold them secure so every time Id open it many of the sockets were floating around the case and out of order. These Olsa socket holders are a very high quality set. I bought the set of three (one for each size sockets). I liked them so much, and had so many sockets to organize, that I bought two more sets of three. Now all my sockets are in order and stored neatly in my tool chest. Very highly recommended. If I had to find something to constructively criticize, it might be simply that the rubber end pieces might eventually crack and not stay on. If that were to happen, the socket holders could theoretically fall off. But they dont slide on their own so I dont think that will be a problem. I really like them. I would like to maybe see different colors of anodized aluminum (maybe a blue set?). That way I could have SAE as one color and Metric as another. Five stars and a repeat buyer. Looking at their other offerings now for even more tool organization.

> 3 dayWould be nice if these were magnetic. Not sure if it because of the weight of my socket set but they always tip over in my drawer

> 3 dayIve been using this for about 6 months. I am pretty easy on my tools and dont thrash them in any way. I like the looks of this socket holder but I have found it not to be very durable. I once dropped it from only a few inches and it broke the plastic of one of the clips and bent the rail a bit. For the most part, I dont have issues with sockets popping off however. I also had to put zip ties on either end of the rail where there are little rubber caps to prevent the sockets from simply sliding off the end of the rail as the rubber cap isnt strong enough to retain the weight of the sockets.

> 3 dayThis is a great product, I love how easy it is to move and rearrange the socket holders. However, the end caps fall off easily with no way to secure them. This makes the socket holders easy to slide off accidentally, repeatedly making a frustrating mess. A simple end cap that can secure to the rod would have been great. Edit: the seller offered to send locking end caps free if charge! The new caps seem to be durable enough and came with several replacements anyway. Im very impressed with their customer service.

> 3 dayI bought this to use with my existing pegboard. The first thing I noticed is that as soon as you hang it on the pegboard, the plastic end cap comes loose. The end caps slide down to far over the piece. Ideally the opening in the middle of the metal should stuff where the endcap starts but that’s not the case so the end cap comes off every time you hang it up. Without those end caps, the bits will slide off the entire metal piece. They are not snug at all so I don’t have much faith that they will actually stay put for very long. It will be annoying to have to constantly do that.
