Ive purchased quite a bit of these to hold all of my sockets, various attachments and crowsfoot wrenches. Overall the quality of the product is great. They do what they are intended for. Having 3 colors helps to quickly identify the needed sets. The ball detents will hold your sockets upside down, however larger sockets as well as the 1/2 deep well sockets are not as secure. Obviously they are very heavy sockets so its not a major concern. The product itself is great, Ive spent a few hundred dollars to purchase about 30 of these. Overall the product is great, I havent used them much so we shall see how the plastic clips hold up. Id give a full 5 stars if the 1/2 clips felt more secure. These are pretty costly but worth it to know when youre missing a tool and keeping things organized. I do wish that you could buy a three pack of 1 size versus getting all 3 sizes. I dont know of anyone that has exactly the same number of drive tools... the cost of 1 rail is half the price of the three pack.

The piece itself is a sturdy aluminum, but the socket retainers have issues. For one, the retainers are held on the bar only by a soft rubber end cap on each end of the bar. Since the retainers slide along the length of the bar that means the whole retainer set can fall off if those end caps aren’t in place. Of course the rubber end caps slide right off so the retainers will fall off every time you pick it up. You’ll have to glue the end caps on. Second problem, the retainers have a weak ball bearing to hold the sockets on, so anything over a size 14 will fall off under its own weight if the bar is picked up too fast. Save your money folks

I purchased this strip mainly to hold a set of 1/2 impact sockets I purchased recently that came with a very poorly designed holder so I needed something to replace it. This organizer/holder works perfectly. It holds the entire 13 piece set which goes from 32mm down to 10mm. There were a few spares, but not enough room to hold any more sockets so I just slid those off - which is easy to do. I just put it in a drawer of my tool cabinet versus mounting it like some other reviewers did, but it is certainly strong enough to set it up that way. Its very well made and a good solution for organizing sockets. I will likely purchase a few more and move all of my various sockets to one of these holders. Mainly to just keep them organized and be able to quickly know when one is missing. I would definitely recommend these holders for anyone needing to organize sockets.

The rails are solid and I havent had any problems with the plastic clips...yet. They are plastic in a metal world so I do expect they will break at some point in time. If you plan to place these rails in a toolbox or in a cabinet, expect the end caps to never stay in place and your sockets to spill out into your toolbox. Poor design to have soft endcaps that only have light friction to hold the clips from sliding off the end. To fix the problem, I found a video showing someone putting a screw through the hole in the rail and into the back of the clip at each end of the rail. I tried it and it works like a charm. Predrill the hole in the back of the clip before putting the screw in to make the job easy and quick.
