> 24 hourThe lines are there to ‘square’ your fabric cutting. I use this item to cut fabric. I see the vertical and horizontal lines to confirm cutting the line in a square. The bias line can also be seen.

> 24 hourI purchased the mat for polymer clay and it has worked great. I use a sharp blade on the mat several times a week and it has worked as advertised. There are no cut marks on the mat. The clay has a tendency to leave some stain on the mat but that is no big deal for me because the mat was not made for clay. The markings on the mat help me cut and measure the clay. I am very satisfied.

> 24 hourI use a cutting mat daily to cut card stock and chipboard so before long its becomes rough because of all the cuts. So far not this mat. I cant even see a cut on this mat it heals so completely...Im amazed it is still nice and smooth. I like this so much better than the Olfa and X-acto mats Ive used. I also like the size of this mat...not too big, not too small. Alnd, it stays in place when youre using it. It doesnt slide around on the desktop like my previous mats. Nice for circular cuts.

> 24 hourI havent had time to use it, putting a couple short cuts on it with nothing on it with My self sharpened new Fiskars rotary cutter left a couple very, very shallow lines I had to bend the mat back to see. Good stuff. Well marked with measurements Ill take care of It till I buy an other if I ever need to which is doubtful with the little I do. They even responded to Me that it will last far longer than it takes the Years Long warrenty to expire. A life time for Me. - Oh well it will be a heirloom if some Dim-Dot dosnt throw it out. Yesr.

> 24 hourThis is a very heavy weight mat, with grid lines on both sides. I havent actually used it yet, but it comes with good instructions for using, cleaning, and storing it. Customer service was great - I even received an email before the mat arrived, telling me how to care for it. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is all the half-inch grid lines. They make it look kind of busy, and Im not sure Ill like them (Im used to only 1 lines). I might prefer if it only had the 1/2 lines on one side.

> 24 hourThis was a lot larger than I had anticipated (though that was stupid on my part for not paying close attention to the dimension), but it works great, and actually is perfect for what I need. Because it is so large, I can actually use it - more or less - as a table top for all my other craft equipment (I do 3D paper crafts); this way, they wont scratch up my actual table top. It heals quickly (most of the time, I cannot even tell I had made a cut), and is perfect what it is supposed to do.

> 24 hourThis cutting mat has two sides, so it will last longer, especially if rotated after each use. I chose the 12 by 18 inch style because it fits easily on a desk or table top leaving space for utensils and free movement. This improves safety while in use. Lines are designated on both sides and improve accuracy while cutting. The product is made to self-heal; a great advantage for use over time. Mine has shown to self-heal already. it is a fine quality product at a fair price. I recommend it highly. Cathy

> 24 hourNote- I use snap off blades to cut, not xacto blades. This factor may greatly change the durability rating and review I am giving. Difference is I am always using a new to near new sharpness. Using an xacto blade forces users to stick with a blade for longer and causes more pressure to be used. So do know this review may be drastically different due to that factor. My usage amount for one of these boards lifespan was 3 months with 8 hours a day usage. And tiny frequent cuts. I had about 1,644 pieces of tiny designs. I used it till there was really no option. Pro - every zone of it was used once one spot was overused and started flaking. Just because one spot is bad it doesnt make the whole thing go to crud Once one side is bad the other side is like brand new! Stays in place on the surface but easy to move and slide This is one that isnt so expensive that you feel it let you down. This does the job at a level I expect should for the price. I know I am going to do heavy use and will eventually destroy any cutting mat. It takes a bit to get to the flaking or tiny pieces starting to come out. Thats what happens when you carve things with a blade. Cons- Doesnt use metric In an ideal world these should never go bad but this is an even pay off. So this may not be one to go bragging to everyone about as I dont expect it to do much other than last awhile. It does allow me to afford to put more money into what I am cutting with and material being cut woth a comfortable work area. User difference info - I do use olfa brand blades for my snap off blades In a dewalt brand holder. No arthritis issues at all with those hours. And the blades are where the true investment to be towards. Circle cutter on it was ok -. grip isnt strong enough to not slide a bit while having to hold pressure down and turning of the device. I dont love or hate this board, I am happy with it because it logically makes sense that it has reached the point of needing to be replaced. I used it a lot and these can only take so many cuts.

> 24 hourHave used it very little so far, but seems like a big improvement over cutting fabric on my dining room table!
