This mat met all my expectations. I love the large size. It is large enough for all my quilting needs. It has a great smooth surface. I think it is a good value for my money.

I do a lot of crafts, and this is exactly what I needed to protect my desk. It stays in place, very durable and Im very happy with my purchase.

Very disappointed that this cutting mat was only put in an envelope to ship. It needs to be in a box to prevent bending. I have had weights on this for three days with no improvement. The mat itself is great.

Its a festive thing of beauty that does what its supposed to. I hate when things dont work right but hey! -- this one does. I bought this rust remover once and I took the rust off this old toolbox and I followed the directions even they were baffling, but the rust was gone . . . LET ME FINISH . . . until the next day when it was back in a fine little rust layer! Overnight it rusted! What the heck. So no, this cutting mat isnt like that. Ive cut numerous things on it, and, with each cut, I sigh a sigh of joy and contentment. And isnt that what life is all about?

This is a very nice cutting mat. Size is appropriate and the quality is great. My only complaint was the very strong odor upon opening for the first time. I suggest opening it outside and letting it air out for an hour or so. Smells like paint fumes, but it goes away.

Ive used this mat with exacto knives and freeform rotary cutters for a couple months now, cutting different weights of card stock for intricate designs and fabric. I am extremely satisfied with how this mat holds up. It really does work as described, the cuts seem to heal themselves. I literally can not see where I have cut on the matt. Having the measurements is very helpful, and the fact that this matt is double sided means I should get plenty of use out of it. A quality made product, I highly recommend this matt to anyone looking for a cutting matt.

I hesitated to buy this particular cutting mat because it is one of the more expensive ones out there. Finally realized that I would be using this item a great deal in my leather craft work, so decided to ignore the other cheaper ones available and purchase this one. I am glad that I made that decision, now that I have had this mat for some time. Very satisfied with it.

This is the first time I have used a cutting mat. It is quite convenient in marking and measuring squares and getting them square. Much easier than the pencil, ruler, scissors system. It seems to heal over the cut marks well except when I repeatedly cut squares of the same size. I do rotate the mat around to keep from wearing it out but I am a little concerned about how long this will endure with continuous use. Im glad it has a guarantee! I have been using this mat almost continuously since I received it on March 2. This is one of the handiest quilting tools in my box. I have finished 2 quilts in the past two months because I can now cut several layers of fabric at one time. I love the 18x24 size because it is big enough to cut several strips without moving the mat and small enough to rotate on the table top in the cutting process.The only thing I regret is that I did not find one of these years earlier. I does heal back together nicely.

My husband got me this to cut stained glass on. I waited to leave a review until I had used it. For my purposes it works great. A glass cutter does not leave deep cuts on a mat most of the time, as its only meant to score the glass, its not supposed to cut all of the way through but its nice to have just in case and provides a nice work space, while protecting my craft table. I appreciated the follow up from the company with clear instructions on how to care for my cutting mat, I might have stored it improperly otherwise. I did not notice a strong odor with my purchase as others have noted but I am not sensitive to smells, with all of the chemicals I use in making glass and jewelry pieces, I really cant be picky about it, so I have no advice on that. If I were not using it for one specific purpose I can see it being useful for other things, such as trimming metal, paper and assembling models. I think this is a great product for any crafter.

After airing the product out and following instructions to clean the mat its working great and the smell has faded. I appreciate the seller reaching out to me immediately to share the instructions again to solve my original concern, I would have def needed them if they were thrown out by accident (keeping on file!) :). Very happy and pleased with this mat, the size and the quality. Thank you! My review is based on smell, wow! Its strong! I kept ours in plastic until I can air out or do as it suggests, clean in vinegar from time to time to restore its newness. Ive had these in the past for art classes and have aired them out just fine. Hope I can air this one out just the same because the smell is awful. Large mat, were excited to put it to use. No complaints otherwise, quick delivery and came with instructions on how to care for it.
