5 Inch Dia 8 Hole Sander Hook and Loop Replacement Sanding Pad For Makita BO5010, BO5030/K, BO5031K, BO5041K, XOB01Z Sander

Well made product but I am returning because the holes did not line up with my sander

The screw holes that come pre-drilled in this pad are for countersunk for flat-head screws. However my Makita has round head screws with fixed washers and they wont fit in the provided holes. Youll need to countersink the holes with a brad point or forstner bit. Not a big deal but it is clearly not designed for the Makita sander.

The attachment holes did not line up with the Makita BO5010 sander. Using the old pad as a template I drilled three new holes in the replacement pad to properly attach it to the sander.

Don’t waste your money like I did. The “hook and loop” pad won’t hold a hook and loop backed piece of sandpaper. I have to find one by another vendor because I already installed this on my sanded and don’t have the original packaging to return it. Absolute junk. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Doesn’t exactly line up with the screw holes on my makita bo5010 either.

The product is exactly what I expected, and the shipping response was outstanding.

Simply did not fit properly. Seemed to most likely be poor QC during manufacturing.

This is a cool Dia 8 hook it made my job so much easier and it was simple to put it on .

Perfect fit, good price. Well see how long the Velcro lasts compared to original Makita part.
