This was supposed to be a replacement for my Makita orbital sander the holes never lined up I had to drill new holes if you don’t get it perfectly centered when you drill your own holes the unit will not operate correctly

Perfect fit, good price. Well see how long the Velcro lasts compared to original Makita part.

What the headline says. How difficult is it to get something this simple right? If I sound ornery, its because I am. The thing screws onto the sander through three holes. It should take half a minute. Except the holes are too small to accommodate the washers on the screws from the original Makita pad, and I couldnt get the washers off for the life of me. And of course the hardware store was closed when I got there to buy replacement screws and washers. Other than that this pad seems absolutely fine. Sanding discs stick to it, and Im looking forward to finishing the project I expected to finish today.

The screw holes did not line up with the sander. I had to place the new pad on without 1 screw. It works but I don’t know for how long. It would be nice to get a correct replacement

Replacement for a Makita orbital sander. It fits on the sander fine, but doesnt hold the hook & loop sandpaper at all. Didnt work for even 10 seconds.
