We have a six month old standard poodle that we do the basic grooming on and have used ShowSheen three or four times in the last few weeks. It definitely makes brushing/combing between baths and grooming sessions easier. I recommend it but would also suggest that it be used sparingly until you get the hang of it as a little seems to go a long way.

Great detangler for my Bichon. Read my review of the Bubbas Groovy Bath Ultra Oatmeal Dog Shampoo-Conditioner for more information. This company shipped the Detangler very fast. I would recommend and buy it again. It is a must have product for a high maintenance dogs like bichons and poodles.

I have read a lot of reviews on what I could use to tame down and smooth out my dogs nappy fur on her hocks. I have a long haired German Shepherd that use to have silky flowy hair until I spayed her. The drop in hotomones equals not so lustrous locks. Her hair became more dry. Her tail and hocks have hair that of you look at a single stand you can see a thousand little kinks in it. It became hard to brush threw and looked raggedy. This product made my brush just glide through with ease. I saturated her hair pretty good and the product dries fairly fast. It smells good. It is not greasy and a little goes a long way. After the product was completely dry her raggedy hair was extremely soft and I could run my fingers through it. It was also shinier. I will definitely being buying this again.

my horse has a very long mane (goes a little past his shoulder) and is VERY thick. this product helped tremendously to get his mane unmatted. It also makes hid cat look very shiny.

I originally used this on my horses and then wondered about my dogs, I have long hair collies . It was amazing .When they dry off the dirt just falls off, the coats dont get tangled. No knots behind their ears and chests. Their white fur stays white..

This product is highly recommended by owners of dog and equine show winners. Im not showing my dog but I do want her to look and feel her best. Though she is still a puppy, her breed tends to mat so I wanted to be prepared. My puppy has not matted yet so I cant speak to the effectiveness of this product for that. I spray a little bit on before brushing and puppy looks nice when Im done, but she also looks nice after brushing without any product. Later in the day after using, puppys hair feels slightly sticky...not terribly so, but enough that I notice. Im also not getting the shine ppl talk about either. Puppy will grow and her breed has a coat that changes dramatically over the 1st 2 or 3 years. Right now, the product is meh. Perhaps later, it might change.
