Home office, fits my needs to a tee

I purchased this laptop a year ago and it has worked great. I have only had one major issue which put me back on the hunt for a laptop. The charging port on the side of the laptop wiggles and has a loose connection even when I push it in all the way. I am very careful with the direction that the wire lays when charging and sometimes I need to wiggle it to catch a charge. Really frustrating when I put it to charge for something important only to find out that the charging port/wire wasn’t working.

Sound isnt very loud, and headphones didnt work at first. Had to re-install sound driver by troubleshooting Sounds under in Windows to fix the issue.

This Acer Aspire 5 is an excellent laptop for online work, browsing and meetings. The 15.6 screen is really outstanding in quality, the image is bright and the colors are vivid - its absolutely gorgeous. The laptop itself is slim and lightweight - easy to carry in the backpack or shoulder bag.

Its good for working on mobile site during the pandemic.

Needed a new laptop for work to do pretty basic functions. Unfortunately, this is not the right computer for me. The Bluetooth connection is unstable which caused my headphones to constantly be connecting and reconnecting. Same with my Bluetooth keyboard. Tech support was unable to help. Secondly, the sound quality of the speakers is terrible. Even with headphones - awful. The laptop also doesn’t support Zoom virtual backgrounds (like blur) which is a huge inconvenience for me as well. Will return and get a better quality laptop.

The touchpad stopped working after a few months of use. I tried to update the driver, uninstall it and install it again but nothing worked. My husband also has an Acer laptop with the same touchpad problem. It just stops workings after a few months of use. Also there are all sort of problems when trying to print a document. I dont know if it is a Windowns problem, HP problem or Acer problem, but I cant print in color anymore, neither can I print both sides of the page. It sucks because I read so many good reviews and I was certain that buying this Acer Aspire was a good investiment, but it has being a disapointment so far.

I loved this laptop until about a month ago. The fingerprint sensor stopped working. Ive tried reprogramming it with no luck. Now, the screen has stopped working on the laptop. I can still connect to an external monitor, but the laptop screen is black only. Since its within a year of the warranty, Ill see if Acer can do anything about it. But now, Ill have to pay shipping and be without a laptop if theyll even be able to fix it.
