> 24 hourI have been building my own PCs for gaming for a while now. This was my first try with a gaming laptop. Within 5 minutes of playing any game the surface of the laptop above the function keys would get so hot it would burn to touch it. CPU temps were in the high 90s. Constant stuttering, screen tearing, input lag and inconsistent FPS. Big problems trying to record game play with OBS which should be a simple thing to do since the GTX 10 series graphics cards are supposed to be able to record without impacting performance. I was expecting a lot more from this based on the specifications. Returned.

> 24 hourGreat computer.. 16GB is more than enough to support anygame. There are a couple issues I am having with video playback. Im not sure if its the program I am using (steam) or what but when I try to enlarge a video the background display shows over the video.

> 24 hourIm sure that I just happened to get a dud, but I barely have used it since I got it because the screen flickers whenever I run anything on it. I can only game for 20 minutes at a time.

> 24 hourLaptop ran well right out of the box, was charged about 70% on arrival. Packaging nice and sturdy. Laptop works great, have had for almost a year and it is still working the same as new. Screen quality is good, runs really well. Can play newest games on High graphics easily. Several games on Ultra-High are limited to 60 fps, but most people who buy laptops for gaming dont expect more. Fans do run very loudly though, dont expect to game quietly. You can manually control the fans, but I find it best to let the laptop choose, as it is very good at knowing what speed to set the fans to. It doesnt run the fans high until you get into games, and it will slowly decrease after exiting the game rather than dropping the fans immediately. Its also a very cool-looking laptop in my opinion.

> 24 hourDO NOT waste your money. I purchased this 5 months ago and I am currently in the process of having it shipped for repair under the warranty already. It died during gaming, nice job for a gaming laptop right? Acer support had me try battery resets before finally saying it needs repair. The shipping label took 3 days longer to be sent to me via email and I had to call support 3x. Also, the product must be packaged and shipped, with insurance on my dime, with no reimbursement or even FedEx credit from Acer. I inquired if this was available and was denied, all shipping costs and status is out of Acers hands. Trash company, save yourself the grief folks, dont buy acer.
