So when it just came, everything was perfect. Looked good, powered up good and functioned good. But the wifi fails to connect after 3 or maybe 4 days of playing league of legends, a game which literally requires no graphic & memory & CPU performance. Overheating? Yes but Im fine with it. Noise? Yes Im fine. Other detail issues? Yes but Im still fine. But it is not cool at all when your internet component started to fail at a rate of 1/5minutes and ended up with 1/minute. You know what is even funnier, I cannot even upload a picture because the wifi just constantly fail when I am literally writing this review. At first I thought it might be my wifi, but I contacted RCN and troubleshoot it, and then at the mean time I switched back to my Mac and the game went perfectly fine. So I thought it might work this time, but ended up with an EPIC FAIL. I also updated my network card drive and ended up even worse. Well I am not blaming Acer but I do wanna say thanks for ruining my winter vacation. Going back to college now lmao. Oh and another thing, I cannot submit this review now because I am disconnected. Wish me luck on submitting this review. God bless me, and god bless the USA and China. Oops, internet is back!

My husband and I each got one of these to play world of warcraft on. It overheats really bad. & Dont even dare try to get on the internet while playing a game the pc just cant handle it. There have been a few times its so hot I cant even touch this laptop. In raids or when new expansions/content comes out its absolute hell on this computer. I am currently building a pc desktop for us both. a year has been enough! Yes, it will run games ok and has really pretty graphics but the CPU gets way too hot. but in the end sadly it is a laptop, and I cant exactly put a CPU cooler in it. 2000k for a little less than a year is kind of a hit in our pocket should have returned it.

Runs like dream. Gets hot to the touch when under a lot of use and in a hot room. Could be too hot if you have thin skin or are a child. My hands are calloused, so it doesnt matter. Probably why this is so cheap, comparatively. Great deal.

I dont know why I considered Acer an inferior brand. This far exceeds dell or HP in quality. They are not even in the same league as this company. The only thing Im missing is a touch screen, but thats minor compared to all the gains I got. I hope you too consider this brand. Thank you Acer

Ive been using this computer for about a month so far and Ive been pleased. The touchpad works fine and with the SSD the boot up time is great. I put a secondary hard drive in and the installation was easy. Ive read complaints about the fan noise but Ive noticed it occasionally when gaming but it hasnt been bad at all. I usually wear headphones anyway. My only complaint is the finish does show smudges easily and the lid can show little scratches also easily. The performance has been great so far. Ive done a little gaming and have not noticed any lag. Ive been happy with the purchase.

Like most folks getting a gaming laptop youve spent countless hours comparing specs, reading reviews just like I did before buying my Predator. What I liked best about the Predator-i7 processor, the 144HZ monitor, and Geforce 1060 video card, these items were not available on any other competitors laptops. These are also items that are not easy or impossible to upgrade at a later point. The lower points were the smaller hard drive and ram. both those are very easy upgrades. The hard drive was a smaller 256GB SSD. After a dozen games installed from Steam i was running low on space. So $100 later and I now have a second 1TB SSD. So far the 16GB of factory installed ram has been sufficient for most games I play. As this is my first gaming rig, I cannot compare it out to something else. However, if you are looking for a laptop that plays PS4 quality games, you cant go wrong.
