For $2000 youd expect this to last longer than 2 years. The fan was always loud, which I expected from a gaming laptop, but lately - 1 month after my service period ran out incidentally - it has become so loud its almost impossible to actually use the machine. I have had the fans cleaned and inspected and they are undamaged. Now I have to have this fixed, and after only 2 years of moderate use? Disgraceful. I have been a longtime Acer customer, and this will be the last time.

The Acer Predator Helios gaming laptop seems to be built well and the hardware specifications allow me to play games on the highest graphic detail settings without any lag.

as you can see from the top of the photo, the screen is flawed and wont go all the way black in places. The electrical grounding inside it (Im not really fluent in the proper language, here...) also seems imperfect as I will occasionally pick up a click or other random noise through my headphones

I purchased this laptop approx 6 months ago. Overall I do enjoy it. It does run pretty hot after a short while of gaming and youll feel it through the keyboard. I purchased a cooling pad for it anticipating this, and glad I did. Its a fast laptop with lots of power, however I cant understand why Windows 10 Home version was installed? Extremely cheap way to go on manufacturing part. The 144Hz monitor is nice looking, but shouldnt have been a strong selling point as I allowed it to be. Battery life is pretty bad as most laptops are, but I did expect better than it is...and I dont game on battery power.

This machine MURDERS everything

Came 1 day early. Well packed. It’s light weight. I was able to get into WiFi with no issues. I was concerned due to several comments. Played diablo and Minecraft. Works great
