I went with this one since it was the same price as the other and came with a bag at the time I purchased it. I dont know what I will do with the bag but hey free bag :) . The joystick is great for 8bit style games and games that work better with the D-pad. Ive used it with a Switch and a Raspberry Pi 4 so far and havent had any issues. The only thing I wish it was able to do is wake the switch from sleep but that may be fixed with a future firmware update (fingers crossed) Very high quality pad and is on par with the Pro Controller IMHO.

My husband loves this controller it is more conforable for when he is playing his switch. However the Amazon delivery service was not so great as they threw the control on my porch. I am thankful nothing is broken however still not thrilled about the handling of my package

The SN30Pro+ D-pad is something Nintendo needs to take notes on the design. No Switch controller, provided by Nintendo, to this day, has a D-pad appropriate for 2D action or retro-gaming. Nintendo for all people should know proper D-Pad design. I own the Switch Pro Controller and the D pad is not great for platforms or retro-games (Tetris, SNES/NES classics). Otherwise, the Pro Controller is a fine controller to use on modern games. That said, this controller is the best 3rd party controller Ive purchased for Switch. Have not tried it on PC yet, but Im sure it works there too. It has home and picture buttons and all other expected features, accept amiibo support. The rumble feature works, but it doesnt seem very strong (it gets the job done). The home button on the SN30Pro+ does not turn on the Switch. Unfortunate. I hope they can add this with an update. Comfort is good but not great like the Switch Pro Controller comfort. The Switch Pro Controller is probably the most comfortable controller my hands have used. My hands get a little tired after an hour or so using the SN30Pro+. To me, the SN30Pro+ grips and angle are a little shallower/narrow and not as hand-filling as the Pro is. So, for long gaming sessions, the Pro controller wins that battle. But, the SN30Pro+ is comfortable, and hand types may vary on comfort. I hope 8bitdo will iterate this controllers design and maybe have the ergonomics improved upon. Updating the firmware is a little goofy on Windows 10. I have high resolution monitor and the application seems to get cut off. But, it gets the job done. The tuning/adjustment/button mapping software works fine. The all black design is sleek and cool, but you cant see the button labels very easily. The texture feels nice as well. So do the analog sticks. Overall, a solid controller.

It worked well at first. But it has issues. The 8bitdo website offers a few FAQ but it it doesnt work you have to figure it out yourself. I had a problem where my computer couldnt recognize it. It was stuck with a flashing red LED on top and no amount of holding L + R + Start or Start or any combination or plugging it in could get it to register on my PC. I went to reddit and many people suggested taking out the battery and putting it back in. Unfortunately, this ended up killing the controller completely for some reason. Other people seem to have had similar issues. Anyways, proceed with caution. It sucks because it frequently has issues so its either try to fix it yourself or it doesnt work. I will not be buying another one to replace it. Updated: got it to work again. I have no idea how or why. Like I said, very temperamental controller. It is a good feeling controller, its a shame it acts up so much. At this price point, hard to fullheartedly recommend.

These controllers are hands down the best controllers for PC gaming. They can be used wirelessly via Bluetooth or wired using USB and they have motion control capability. The d-pad feels excellent. Much better than an Xbox one controller. These are perfect for playing classic games too. I cannot say enough good things about these controllers. I actually bought a second one because I was so impressed with the first!

It works wonderfully with the Switch, but on Android its a mixed bag. I was hoping to use this on my Galaxy Tab S7 as an all in one controller but it isnt compatible with Call Of Duty Mobile. (Meanwhile Xbox controllers are) Emulators on Android do work but COD was a deal breaker. Im going to return this but if I needed another Switch controller for any classic games or Mario Maker, this would be wonderful. (Feels like holding a PS2/PS3 controller with better joysticks)

Better material, better design, more intuitive, better suited for BOTW, better construction, and compatible with anything. This controller is a masterpiece, while the pro (nintendo) controller has issues in all of the categories listed above. Most notably wobbly hand grips that are not one piece in frame but the third, and a garbage D-pad that would make Ken and Ryu go home and be a Family Man, along with clunky buttons.

As a person who plays on a PlayStation, this controller feels so natural, and the fact it has the back pattles, reprogrammable buttons, macros, and much more useful features for less than an official pro controller, I honestly this this a must have for any switch owner!

Definitely helped me improve my gaming performance on my Nintendo Switch. The turbo mode is nice! My one star off is regarding the looseness of the D-pad button inside the housing. It has a bit more play then what I would like. Overall a solid controller for the price, and being able to use it with other devices is a big plus!

Bought this to use with my RetroPie setup (and my Switch as a bonus). You need to charge the battery pack before updating the firmware (or just pop some AA batteries in). It definitely feels third-party, but its a comfortable controller to use for long periods of time. The D-pad feels nicer than the one on my Switch Pro Controller, and the joysticks are fluid. The L2/R2 buttons are mushy so the Pro controller definitely wins there, but overall its a good controller and I definitely would buy another one. Pros: - Button mapping supported (need to download the software from 8bitdos website) - Rechargeable (has a removable battery pack if youd rather use AA batteries) - Solid D-pad, smooth joysticks - Comfortable grip Cons: - Mushy L2/R2 buttons - Cant wake Switch using this controller
