Amazon Basics Window Fan with Manual Controls, Twin 9-Inch Blades

This is 5 star for most of you. Noise level is acceptable BUT this is going into a San Francisco Victorian with big windows and no screens and the side panels dont stretch that far. Unlike last summer, it hasnt been that 95 to 98 degree heat. Our buildings are mostly not air conditioned and window units are usually not an option. But hey...fans are good. Cool off the place at night and close the curtains during the day. I ended up buying two of these which nicely store under the bed. Very reasonable price. Hopefully they wont be needed that much.

I like this fan. Had one like for many years, until it broke. The remote control also controls the other fan in the room. Which make it difficult to use, turn on one the other one turns off. Which was a surprise, the other fan did not come with a remote. The high level has no noise, which is great. However the medium and low settings have a very high pitch frequency.

Shockingly cheap looking fan, but it runs very quietly. Heres hoping it lasts more than a minute and a half. BTW, there is no way to lock the accordion expansion wings into place when you pull them out, so they just suck right back in once you place the fan in the window. UPDATE: weve had the fan roughly 3 weeks now. It moves air but not a lot of it; even on the highest setting. Heres my biggest issue and why I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this fan and Im changing my rating...when you turn the fan off, (this is the fan with a remote), it resets all the settings. So, if you have it set to blow air IN the room from the outside when you turn it off, when you turn it back on, it will be drawing air OUT. HARD STOP. I could not figure out what was going on and why there was no breeze coming in through the window. It had reset itself to draw out. It does this every time you turn it off. I will be returning it.

Little noisy when not being used in a window, but overall, what a fantastic deal for a great fan. Our house takes forever to cool down once the sun goes down. When using this fan we can drop the inside temps 10 degrees in an hour once the sun goes down. Sure it feels a tiny bit flimsy, but for the price, well worth it. Love the remote control feature, and the fact that you can reverse it. Well done Amazon.

I like the reversible blade, reasonable price.

The fan works good. Is a little loud but not more than any typical fan would be. It doesnt blow out as much air and keep things cool as much as other window fans Ive had have done but Im too lazy to deal with returning it so I just deal with it. I live in Southern California where it gets hot hot hot in the summer so a fan makes a big difference. Wish this would blow more air in but oh well. Im just thankful to have one

No manual of operation. Does not fill the window width, no extensions.

Im not big on writing reviews, but I thought this product could use one. Its a basic unit that only has a low and hi setting. However its a great quiet product!! I bought one for the upstairs to vent out that worked perfect for myself. Then bought a second the next day for the first floor! Ive been using them about a month (June to July 2021) so about longevity / durability I cant review that yet, but so far so good. Still it is well made and it moves out the hotter air when venting out; and brings in the cooler air on cool days when turned around. No major complains here so far. It Came on time and was well packaged. This is a great fan that I replaced a Comfort Zone window model with. Lightweight and quiet. ....... If there was one improvement.: I would make it so the fans casing was easier to open to get to the blades to keep them clean without using a special size / length phillips head screw driver.
