Amazon Basics Window Fan with Manual Controls, Twin 9-Inch Blades

We have a 35 year old air conditioning so we try to utilize the cool Wisconsin nighttime air to help bring the temperature down in the house - this fan is wonderful for that. If you’re looking to bring fresh air in and move stale air out, this fan is for you.

I purchased this fan to place in our front window in our dining area. I needed something to help move air at night and before it gets too hot during the day. As far as looks go, the fan is fine. It looks okay and is easy to setup. It comes full assembled. There is no battery included for the remote, so make sure you have some AAA batteries available. The fan runs; however, Im not sure how much it actually works. On the highest setting, you have to be about 1ft from the fan to feel any air at all. I didnt expect it to be a big air moved; however, I expected it would at least do something. As far as the sound goes, its not super loud on the highest setting. Once you turn it down; however, it makes a very odd sound. Its kind of like a high pitched, metal on metal sound. It only gets louder when you go to the lowest setting. One other annoyance is that there is no memory on your settings. When you turn the fan on, it automatically goes to the vent setting. You have to cycle it to pull air in. At this point, I just look at it as a wasted purchase. I dont want to deal with returning it as most places are already out of stock on window fans. The search will just have to continue for me to find something better.

THis fan is plastic mostly but I wanted to put it in my detached garage to circulate some air in the summer and it is very damp there so it is perfect for what I need. May not last as long but wont rust as quickly either.

What I liked about this fan is the the 2-fan design. It is easy to install in the window. What I really disliked about this fan is that it does not push out very much air. The quality of this fan in one word cheap. I should have been aware of this since it is an Amazon Basic product. This fan is very expensive for such a cheaply made product. I went ahead and returned this fan to Amazon. Went ahead and purchased the Genesis max.cool fan which is very similar with the 2 fan design and is much better quality with more features.

Man I expected more from this. It defiantly works because a fan is a fan, but it doesn’t push the air in a strong way. I’m not sure how to word that, but the fan strength is kind of weak. It’s good for long term cooling down the room just fine, but instant relief—-no. But it is pretty quiet so there’s the pay off. I just expected more for how expensive it is.

Absolutely garbage. My ac is out so I needed a quick fix to get airflow and decided the premium price to get it same day was worth it. This fan fit in the window just fine. Cord is a bit short for what I would like but I managed. However even on high these 2 tiny fans produce absolutely no air movement. I feel like I just wasted money so I could have my window open to let more heat in.

Too expensive for a fan that only lasts a year before dying. It was only used minimally. The lip of the fan doesnt sit well in a typical vertical window. If the wind blows, the fan usually falls out. Would not buy again.

It works fine, but the controls were difficult to understand. Also, the fan starts out in exhaust mode when you turn it on, so we have to switch the fan direction every time we turn it on. To turn the fan on, you have to cycle through the fan speeds, so it is not obvious that is how it is turned on.

I returned this window fan as the power was quite weak, even on high it barely moved any air. Not recommended.

The only thing i did not like was the speed on the fan was not high enough for what I was looking for. It circulates great. I wanted high speed window fan.
