08-06-2025Bought the 3800x over the 3700x cos the price was the same at the time of order. Reading indepth reviews online suggest that this is only ever slightly faster than the 3700x. So far its working well paired with an MSI B550 motherboard.

> 3 dayI broke 2 of these trying to seat them properly because Ive never had an AMD before. I had to refund the replacement and once that refund comes in Ill reorder it and let my dad put it in since hes an AMD guy and Im not. Be careful taking the cooler out of the box because the thermal paste is very easy to get on your hands and make sure youve connected all 3 cord ports on the cooler before thinking the fan is dead. I hope people can learn from my mistakes and save some grief.

> 3 dayWorking great with a nice wraith cooler. Running at about 70 on RDR2 on highest setting and on stock CPU speed.

Greater than one weekgood bang for your buck with versatility around other components. Renders videos and other demanding assets with little struggle. This definitely is an upgrade from an i5 8600k

Really a person!
> 3 dayThis chip is more stable at 4.3 ghz all core clock than the 3700x. People say that it’s not worth the extra $50 but it really is. Worth it in my opinion. My max all core OC is 4.35 ghz and it scores 5030 in cinebench R20.
