I have two lamps, exactly the same. I turned both on then plugged each of them from the wall into a socket. The sockets were both paired, indicating ON status in the app, with the ON lights indicated... but only one lamp was lit. I unplugged both from the sockets and into the wall then both lamps worked as expected. Therefore one socket was non functional. :( EDIT: I received a replacement and it works well EDIT: it is now 5 months later and one completely stopped working.... these things are junk.

I bought the pack of four and have only set up one, but it was pretty quick and easy... once I looked at the instructions. My habit with these sorts of things is to just try to figure it out as I go along, and that didnt work here. This brand doesnt automatically show up in the Alexa app to connect, you have to set up the plug with their app and then connect it to Alexa. Its an extra step, but then its done, and it all works nicely. I have two complaints. First, the size of the round housing for these things is so large that you cant use two of them in a single wall outlet. Maybe I should have realized that from the photos, but I missed it... and its just poor design. Second, it only supports 2.4GHz wi-fi connections, and the 2.4GHz band is horribly noisy in my apartment building, so I use 5 when I can. Again, it probably said something to that affect in the listing, but I missed it... any device sold these days really should support both.

Easy set up, nice auto features. Simple but super useful gadgets.

After 45 minutes, Im sad to report that SmartLife should be the app you use to bring it into Alexa. Do not use the printed instructions. Do not do anything but use SmartLife. Once its connected, works perfectly!

Bought these to control our Christmas lights. Tree outlet is behind the tree and a pain to get to. This was an easy solution to that problem. Also used the timer feature to control the outside lights and upstairs window lights. These worked great. Used the app to set timers and control them. Integration was super simple. Working great.

Had to download the app. Once that was done, setup was straight dory and easy. Works well. Using Google Home to control and Popotan for timer settings.

I’ve been using this plug for a little while. I love being able to control it through my phone. I don’t have to set a timer on the plug and worry about over heating. I can set a timer on my phone or simply just turn it on while I’m away

The instructions do not clearly state what the steps are and in what order. The screen shots do not match what I see on my phone. Do you download the application first? You need to ensure you have Alexa, or Echo application on your phone along with the Smart Life application. Wanted to run it simply from my Alexa but that didnt seem to be possible without running through the Alexa Application. There is discussion about Quick Mode or AP mode configuration. No explanation of what AP mode is or why you might choose it. They suggest Quick Mode but dont explain why. My phone does not have a QR code reader. It appears that might be the easiest way however, I dont have that. You will need to remember your wifi network name (easy) and password. (Not as easy). Our devices all automatically log on to the home wifi network. We havent entered a password for 2 years. We have unfortunately forgotten the password. That means resetting it mid stream. Not fun. It doesnt tell you to plug in the smart plug before starting. Maybe obvious but it doesnt tell you that. Should you plug in the appliance with the plug? Tells you to rename your device, but doesnt show you screen shots for that. Smart Plug was not in the device list to choose from on the application. Instead it showed pictures of the same electrical plug with 3 options. What option should you choose? Been frustrating. I am not technically advanced, but I also am not completely inept. This product and the incomplete instructions have made me feel inept. Some may get this right away. But I havent, and I now have 4 plugs that are expensive and not really useful to me. I would pass to a different brand in hopes of better instructions. I chose because I wanted to run from my Alexa in the house. Dont want to run it from a phone app because what does everyone else do when I am not at the house? Should be run from the Alexa device. Not the Alexa app.
