> 3 dayI want to, but Im having problems. I started with my RaspPi loaded with an OS, hooked directly to power and HDMI, things worked. Then I mounted in the case. Things power on, but no display. I pulled out the PI and tried to just mount the 90-degree board and try powering on with just that board. No go, cant connect power when this board is mounted. Talked with support, they sent out two replacement boards (even though I only requested the one). With the boards out of the case, and the Pi mounted, everything works. Once I mount the boards in the case and connect the Pi, thats when things go wrong. I either have No Video but sound (most common). No Video, No sound, frequent. No sound, but video (sometimes happens). Everything works (rare). I have tried different HDMI cables, but that doesnt seem to change my chances. I wonder if the 90-degree-HDMI board needs to be pushed in all the way to work, but when mounting in the case, where the screws are, forces some pins to lose connection? Maybe, not something I can fix, though. I really like the look of the case. I like that the connections are all transitioned to the back. I like that theres access to the GPIO pins. I just really wish it worked consistantly.

Greater than one weekThis case so far has been fantastic! I wanted to max out my 8Gb raspberry pi and this case allows me to do that. The installation was straight-forward and everything worked first time. I installed 64-bit Ubuntu Mate and was able to find scripts that allowed the fan and power switch to work. I think I googled Argon 1 rPi fan script ubuntu and found links and a great tutortial. Overclocked to 2GHz, ran a lot of heavy programs, and the warmest anything got was 64 deg C. The Pi starts to throttle at 80, and I never got close to that. Because I was planning to overclock, I got the fan and the Argon power supply to handle the extra load. I have a lot connected to my raspberry pi and will probably get the M2 case when it comes out. Definitely recommend this case.

> 3 dayI like that the cooling works well and has case controls. The interface for controlling wasn’t too simple.

> 3 dayThis case is awesome. Its easy to install and its very versatile. It comes with a daughter board that reroutes all of the ports to the back of the case. It also comes with a fan with a script to control when it turns starts spinning (based ON CPU temp). The case itself acts as a heatsink so it gets warm (not burn your hand hot though). It looks great and its got LEDs that show you when its on and when data is being written. My case even had full Hdmi ports (not micro-hdmi). Theres also a dedicated power switch that allows you to soft reboot/power off with the help of another simple script. This case is perfect for retropie setups.

> 3 dayI originally purchased this case so I could also make use of the GPIO pins of the Raspberry Pi 4, but I am impressed with the quality and other features of the case.

> 3 daybest part about this kit was the fact the case has built-in routing so that all the pis ports line-up nicely on one side of the case. feature for optional fan on/off was nice. magnetic cover for pins was a great touch.

05-06-2025At first blush, it seems like a little expensive for a Raspberry Pi case, but once you get it it totally makes sense. This case is one big heat sink and it comes with a built in fan. As an added bonus it moves all the ports of the Raspberry Pi around to the back, and has a physical power button. It comes with thermal pads to connect the processor to the metal case/heat sink, and the fan senses the heat of RPi and only turns on when it needs to. (details of how this works are in the attached photos). Under normal circumstances web browsing/watching YouTube videos the fan is rarely needed because the passive cooling work so well. When a friend recommended the case, what sold me on it was the power button to do proper shutdowns and that the microSD slot is still accessible while the Raspberry Pi is in the ArgonOne case. The only feature I wish this case had, it would be nice if it converted the micro-HDMI ports to full size HDMI, since it already has a little custom board to move the ports around to the back.
