I was pleasantly surprised to receive the v2 case which features full-size HDMI ports and a built-in infrared receiver.

I am running my PI as a channels DVR and this case keeps the system cool. Zero issues.

I received an Argon One Pi 4 V2 enclosure in my kit. This is the version of the product with full-sized HDMI ports, not the micro HDMI ports pictured. This is a great update to the product. Its nice to use standard HDMI cables. The fan control script works as hoped, even with my non-standard install of Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS arm64. However, the fan never comes on in normal use; the aluminum pulls a lot of heat away from the chips. It is possible to ensure that the fan does work though; run `argonone-config` and set the fan to always on.

Great case - well made - easy to assemble - easy fit. Nice to have the power switch available. Stays so cool the fan doesnt come on.

I was able to put an IR receiver on the board and set it up to recognize a wdtv live remote

I dont write a lot of reviews, but this product warrants one. This is absolutely the best Pi case I have ever seen. This is a work of art. If Apple designed a case, this would be it. Precision engineered gorgeous case. A steal for the price.

Case really kept my Pi4 cool. Looks sharp. Power supply is added bonus.

This is a pretty nice case, but what the description doesnt say is that you lose all USB C functionality other than power. If the USB A connectors will suffice for your needs, then its not a big deal. But for my situation, where Im running an OS that requires data via USB C, its impossible to use when the RPi is mounted in case. The seller should put a warning in the description stating that their cases USB C is power only so no other USB C functionality is possible. But if they dont, hopefully youll read this review so youll know.

I am very impressed by how well thought out this is...except for one thing which is enough to knock off a star. The micro SD card can only be inserted when the case is on. This means it must be removed in order to take off the case. However this is near impossible to do because there is no room to grip the SD card to remove it. I had to use a knife to push at it at an angle with the case supporting it from the other side to finally remove the thing. But the other features of this case put it ahead of the other offerings that if I ever in the market for another one, Ill probably be coming back to this one.
