I love this gouache, the only thing that I would recommend is that you use it right out of the tube, as it dries out very easily, and once it is re activated, its just not the same, at all. Other than that, its great for beginners.

I LOVE these paints. When they first came, they were in these plastic deviders and each one was a cute color palette. (The first pic, each row of 5 was one of the pre made color palettes. Was the same order that came in the box) the paints are in generous 12 mil tubes and has pigment info and lightfastness. Their are some single pigment colors but all the colors are made from 18 different pigments so i dont recommend too much mixing. If you want to put them in pans, they dont crack too much however i found I prefer to use them out of the tube as i like the consistency better. But I definitely recommend these because they are nice and opaque and you dont have to use a ton to get even coverage. Its oveRall a really fun set.also, this set includes all 12 metalic colors.

LOVE using artezas gouache paints! I’ve been using them since arteza released their gouache line and let me tell ya, its the perfect gouache from beginner to pro! The texture of the paint is the best. I switched from latex paints to arteza. Which says a lot if you’ve used latex!! This is also the best price you’ll find for such great quality! 10/10 recommend

I received this set for birthday. I’d never used gouache before so I wanted to give it a try. Once mixed with a little water the consistency is perfect. However, once it dries it’s chalky and chips. I feel like these were made to practice getting the consistency right. You can try using very thin layers to avoid cracking. I wouldn’t use these on any commissioned pieces.

Many colors in smaller tubes and affordable, make this boxed set perfect for beginners who would like to get serious about painting as a major hobby or even career choice change to their more artisic talents. Fantasic bright and good selection of colors to also compliment an existing stash of acrylic paint tubes or bottles in your collection. Smaller tubes makes storage easy and also to see your whole range of colours next to you while you paint. Happy painting creations everyone!

Good starter set. I used mine for my model train hobby. Thick but not too thick I add a few drops of water to get more mileage out of them.

These are interesting. I am only a couple of years into exploring gouache as a hobby painter, but historically, I have used WN, Mark Graham, Reeves, and then some acryclic gouache. What initially intrigued me, was the number of colors available and figured I would give them a shot, since gouache isnt cheap. They are pretty decent. But I have noticed a couple of things Im not crazy about: 1. They dry out quickly. 2. Some colors dry and become very chalky 3. I have had several of the tubes split and have the paint begin to leak out the sides. Ballerina pink is no longer able to be unscrewed-- i just squeeze it out of the side of the tube. 4. They dont re-wet easily after drying on the palette. On the positive: 1. They have a very large range of colors and I love the neutral gray tones, the ultra bright peach-red, etc. 2. I dont feel bad exploring with these like I do with my more expensive gouache. 3. They really are more than enough quality-wise for absolute beginners, even beyond beginners.

Only problem I have ever had with Arteza is that they dont sell replacement tubes of any of the paints you can buy. Once the color is used up, you are SOL unless you buy a whole new set. This of course tends to make me look at other paint brands such as Golden or Turner paints.

These paints are very easy to use and very affordable. I like that it comes in tubes, since you can decide yourself whether to use it fresh or make pans, and the amount of paint you get from each tube is reasonable. You can get a wide range of sheerness out of it, with light washes of it working like watercolor while thicker applications can be completely opaque. The colors are vibrant, you get a lot choices. Only issue is that you cant order by the tube if you favor a particular one. If youre looking to get into gouache in an affordable way, these arteza paints are a good way to go. Im sure that if you wanted something about student-grade these wouldnt quite cut it, but for beginners, they work just fine.

These are not acrylic paints! Theyre water based, but the whole set FLAT paint! I should have looked up the word GOUACHE. So I am at fault. Dont get me wrong the paint texture and color is very good, but there is no shine to them whatsoever.
