Ive only just started my first painting with these, but they seem to have good dense pigments and beautiful colors. I like having the metallics for some extra oompf. I think these are a great deal for the price.

Coming from a beginner with guache this paint is pretty decent. Pros: - color selection - rich, vibrant colors -pearl colors are really beautiful - paint layed down pretty smooth and dried to a matte finish. -a little goes a long way - gives you two white colors which is great for mixing. Cons - some of the colors are a bit transparent , even the ones that are marked opaque. This is most prominent when laying a lighter color over a darker color (ex. Black). This can be remedied by adding less water or a second layer. - pearl colors are beautiful but did not lay well over darker colors. - not many skin shades in this kit so be ready to mix colors.

Good paints for a good value. Not the best for learning color theory of youre a beginner since it was super easy for me to get overwhelmed. But once you get the hang of them theyre nice to paint. The paints do dry a little lighter and the tubes arent always an accurate representation of the colors but for the price I cant complain.

Vibrant fantastic colors. So glad it came with 12 metalícese colors as well!. Greate opaques to compliment the Areza watercolors as well!

The box arrived slightly damaged front when outside. Inside, it was another story. It looked like the set I received had been used. Most of the top-layer tubes were crumbled; one of them had been opened or leaked out and the paint was everywhere. The side tabs of the top trays showed also some damage being crumbled and even rip in places but the tray themselves were fine (hence my wondering if this set was second hand and repackaged since it looked that someone hd already pried the top level trays out). I contacted the Arteza, the seller, four days ago but I have heard back at all. So sad.

This Arteza set of sixty gouache paint colors is a rotating lightening deal and makes a great purchase for yourself or as a gift. This extended set is very well packaged for long term storage and the box exterior has a handy and well-organized replica of the full palette. The tube sizes are fairly generous and can be used straight from the tube or mixed with water or to complement watercolors. The set includes a generous selection of shimmery colors along with a wide range of every imaginable color. Gouache is easy to use, can add dimension and is very forgiving. It washes up easily. I think this set makes an excellent gift that will inspire hours and hours of fun and talent development. For gift giving, add some nice tablets of watercolor paper and a set of brushes that have just a little stiffness to them.

I am finding the paints fun! Although to be honest? TOO many colors...perhaps ship in a tray style and less? I know whining. NO they are great I just live so tiny. Yes, I think they are great.

I love all of the products I buy. I am 80 and wish I could buy more. Lol

Only problem I have ever had with Arteza is that they dont sell replacement tubes of any of the paints you can buy. Once the color is used up, you are SOL unless you buy a whole new set. This of course tends to make me look at other paint brands such as Golden or Turner paints.

I like most of the colors, though there are a couple that are garish that Ill never use, and also theres a number of pearlescent and metallic colors that I am unlikely to use (I like gouache partly because it is matt and photographs well.) These arent as high quality as m. graham (which are a delight to use). Mostly its apparent in the texture and ease of application, but also the pigment load is slightly less too. But for the price its ok. I do wish that there werent 12 tubes of pearlescent/metallic colors that I wont use. Also It would be nice to be able to replace colors I use a lot with a single tube rather than a whole set. I will probably stick to the basic 24 tube pack in the future.
