Got the device today. It worked originally then I changed it to 2.5 GB port and it stopped working. Even after factory resetting 5 times the device doesn’t work, I get no internet. ASUS tech support told me to return it. Googling online shows people with older modems have the same issue - DHCP problem. Wasted hours of my time and disappointed

The GT-AXE11000 is able to handle all my devices with no issues. Before I had network drops at least twice a week and a reboot was required to get things up an running again. The GT-AXE11000 is running my network with no hiccups for about a month. Now when the family get together no more network issue with sometime over 50 devices connected.

Router prior to this one was never hitting my speeds that i payed for... it was only getting about 600-700mb download on a good day even though i pay for gigabit service. Upgraded to this bad boy and instantly i am now hitting 1,000mb plus. This is also the wifi 6 model and its awesome for wifi. 6E wasnt worth the money imo and wifi 7 wont be getting going for years. My router is next to my desk and i tested wifi on my phone and it was getting 800-900 wireless of course this is in the same room as the router so it will go down in speed the farther away you are from the signal.

UPDATE: Firmware 3.0.0.4.388_21617 appears to have fixed wired LAN Internet upload performance with my Verizon Fios ONT. Sadly, wireless LAN Internet upload performance is 150 to 300 Mbps slower than it should be. I am continuing to use an old Asus RT-AC3200 as an intermediary between the GT-AXE16000 and my Verizon ONT.

Well first off 2.5gb port is supposed to active by default. Set up does not detect it, so go ahead and use manual set up. If you have a Samsung S21 Ultra, dont use Tri-band Smart connect. It wont stay connected to the 6ghz band and when it switches to the 5ghz band it will be in a state as connected, but with no internet. You can use smart connect with the 2.4 and 5ghz bands and have the 6ghz separated if you want. Sometimes when you bake changes to the settings you loose wireless connections and have to reboot, buggy firmware at the moment. Strang things in the logs as well such as cant update an ip because it is not a mesh device and already in the UDB, cant add it. 6ghz is not working with Intel AX210 at the moment, supposedly a windows thing. Sometimes during a reboot from the app or web gui wireless does not always come back so best to use the power button on the back if you need to reboot. and if you are using the 2.5gb port as a wan the internet led only will light red when there is no internet, once it gets an ip it will go completely off. I dont know what happens when you use the 1gb (blue) port. My main issue is I am randomly loosing internet connection, usually in the middle of the night. I have to get up and reboot the router and for some reason I cant get an ip from my fiber modem unless I pull the cat and reinsert it.

I dont see all the hype that I researched into prior to buying this router. I was expecting to be blown away for spending this kind of money on a router with these specs. I had to call tech support and do some tweaking in the settings to get it to run faster speeds but this router is not as good as the 120$ tp link router I returned. Hopefully a update will solve all these problems because as of now I dont see this crazy price point justifying this purchase and Im debating returning it. I will update my review if anything changes...

Covers my entire 3,000 square ft house, and thats the super fast 5g signal, not 2.4g! Perfect and tons of User interface settings to control. Thing is awesome and able to optimize for gaming nodes computer, phones, esc.

Bought this one after a power surge popped my old one, which was 2 gens back of this one, still love the quick and easy setup and if you want theres alot of features and settings to tweak!!

I upgraded from a netgear nighthawk and the difference is big. If you want to solve all of your wireless troubles then this is the router for you. Setup was a breeze and the OS is simplified and smooth. The range is wide spread reaching my cameras outside my house. Im no tech guru and the ASUS was not complicated at all to understand. Dont let the options overwhelm you, it is actually very simple from start to end.
