I love this thing. The app makes it super easy to control. Getting 1000Mb/s on my phone is pretty crazy. My 2 story house is a web of super high end equipment and this thing doesnt skip a beat. You get what you pay for people.

This is my first ASUS router and a first impression. Very good router so far. It has better WiFi signal strength and coverage than my previous router(s). The last one was an AC8500 model. All my previous routers were from the same manufacturer so the ASUS GUI was unfamiliar. Having said that, it was easy enough to find things with occasional help from the PDF manual on the ASUS website.

This is a great router. It replaced the previous model, and I used the old one to set up an aimesh network and they are working great. It is a bit pricey, but the latest and greatest always are.

I got the ASUS GT-AXE16000 paired with the 2 ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 for Asus Aimesh setup. I have only 1 device that can do more than 1gbps that my gaming PC with Comcast/Xfinity I get about 1400mbps down and 40mbps up. The router works, but if you you are using Aimesh dont use frimware version .388 Or higher as of 02-04-2023. It has a major bug that kicks off all nodes ever couple of minutes. The frimware also applies if you have the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 updated to the .388 Frimware you need to down grade all 3 of the devices. I bought these as a bundle set so it was $100.00 off.

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Pro Tri-Band WiFi 6 replaced my ASUS RT-AC3200 which is a great router but is at end-of-support. The GT-AX11000 Pro has more features than I need, but it also has features that I wanted. The transition from the RT-AC32000 was simple due to the consistent web interface. I simply copied SSID, passkey, port forwarding, etc. and all devices connected with no problems. The reports from the different users is that they do not see any differences which is what I wanted (upgrade to get security updates and not have other hassles). I am very pleased with the new router.

One of the best on the market, very fast, just wish it had more paper instructions.

I bought this router because I was tired of using my cable companys and paying a fee. The wifi is great throughout my two story house. It is very user friendly and easy to settup. You also have so much control at your fingertips for network security and allocating speeds throughout your home.

I got two AXE16000s with one as the main router, another is the AiMesh node using 10G wired backhaul and an AXE11000 node with 2.5G wired backhaul. Strangely, in the web GUI’s Network Map tab, the 2.5G port link doesn’t show up in the Ethernet Ports activity table. I disconnected/reconnected the link from the 2.5G port to the AXE11000 and it still doesn’t appear in the table. Another issue is that I can’t seem to get Ookla-tested wired speeds of more than 2.6Gbps (upload/download) out of either of the 10G ports on the AXE16000 main and node. I tested the wired speeds with Thunderbolt 3 10Gbe adapters to the PC from two different manufacturers and got the same result. However, when I hooked up my 10Gbps broadband link directly to either adapter, wired speeds jumped to over 9.3Gbps. it seems that AiProtection is the culprit. When I turned it off, wired Okla-tested speeds return to the 8.9-9.2Gbps range. Turn AiProtection on again and it drops to the 2.6Gbps range. The speed drop wasn’t this severe on the RT-AX89X with AiProtection turned on and I still could get 8-9.1Gbps wired speeds on its SFP+ or 10GBase-T ports. According to a longtime firmware developer for Asus routers who iperf-tested the 10G interfaces, this is a CPU/NAT limitation on the AXE16000s part. Had no such issue with the RT-AX89X’s SFP+ or 10GBase-T ports. As for wireless, download speeds (5G bands) were only on par or slightly better than the RT-AX89X’s (+1Gbps range) with upload speeds in the 400-700Mbps range. Also experienced random disconnections for my devices (Connected without internet indicated) and a subsequent inability to reconnect to any of the 4 bands until I turn off/on the Wifi function on the devices a couple of times. And random times when there is simply no internet until a minute or two later. Reported these issues along and provided the usual data logs to Asus Tech Support before I returned both units.

Pricey, yes. Has a great user interface for sure. Great signal everywhere and easily hands my 40+ devices through my 3000 Sq foot home. No dead areas but to be sure I created a mesh AP point with my Nighthawk AX6000 wireless router daisy chained to my switch. Works awesome. My kids have no latency issues with their online gaming and believe me my 14 year boy and 11 year girl who are always playing online lets me know issues with his/her connections. Ill running this through Comcast 800mbs speeds. Love it.

Connections frequently get stuck, requiring you to turn wifi off and back on. This persisted across Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux, iOS, and Android devices on the network, and a replacement router had the same problem. No combination of router settings resolved the issue. Seems to be a design flaw

The trailblazing ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is the world"s very first quad-band WiFi 6E gaming router, delivering incredible speeds of up to 16000 Mbps. We"ve unlocked the full potential of the four frequency bands — 2.4 GHz, two 5 GHz bands, and 6 GHz to bring you the fastest speeds possible.
