> 3 dayI cannot get any wireless device to stay on the network for more than a few hours. It even happens when my laptop is 10 ft apart from the router in an unobstructed view. I cannot work from home and my kid cannot play like this. Im super disappointed that this router just doesnt work. Im returning it immediately just a couple of days after I set it up.

> 3 dayWhen you buy something now days you should extremely look for security in a product, since there are lot of hacking these days. You should read and ask the company who sale the product about that.

> 3 dayThis is a great router. It replaced the previous model, and I used the old one to set up an aimesh network and they are working great. It is a bit pricey, but the latest and greatest always are.

> 3 dayWhether you need a new router or you dont...If you are not using one of these routers you are not getting your full ISP prrovided connectivity. I have a 1GB plan and my RT-AC88U would not go past 450mbps on a good day. Switched to this BAD BOY and now Im getting 980mbps without making any changes to my modem or service.

Greater than one weekForced to return the router, have used ROG Gaming Notebooks for years now, my rig is 2 years old has the 2nd best graphics, fully functional and upgraded. ASUS has a disclaimer that says you need current version of Wi-fi driver to prevent crashes and drops. Doc dated 5/22 from ASUS, The doc points to an Intel link that after downloading drivers, getting errors & calling support, you find that Intel discontinued support for the devices 11/22 ! ASUS VIP Support was called & after repeatedly giving the serial number then confirmation, was told they couldn’t find the product & got hung up on. Just wanted to upgrade my Nighthawk RAXE450 for additional bandwidth and the supposed Lifetime protection. Wrong, now it’s a toss up who’s worse for support. So you spend money on a high end rig, upgrade & are left to the vendor & MegaSloth MS, to force an awesome rig into being obsolete. The death of PC gaming from corporate greed again.

Greater than one weekI had a set of the ZenWifi XT8s (Triband Wifi 6 = no 6ghz). Got this to boost wifi in the house AND get the 10gbe ports for LAN use. (Streaming from a NAS, etc.). Its overkill, but I wanted to transfer files fast. I followed DongKnowsTech dot com and had the Mesh setup pretty quickly. Did have to restart everything a few times, but no biggie. Upgraded firmware to latest and set up network. Everything is working fine, EXCEPT the 10gbe ports seem finnicky. To be more specific, they seem to slow down over time. I can reboot the router, and get 950mbps, but after awhile, it will drop to 800, then 650, etc. This is WAN btw. I really have not test LAN speed, but appears to be pretty quick. A quick reboot of the router fixes the issue temporarily. I installed the latest Merlin firmware, and the issue seems to persist. I am thinking this will be fixed in a future firmware release, but who knows. Frankly, however, there is no real world difference between 600 mbps and 900. They are both plenty fast. You do want to get what you are paying your ISP for though. Wifi is great, even though we only have one device (a laptop) in the house capable of 6ghz (Wifi 6e). Otherwise, the main purpose of this (for me) is the Multi-gigabit LAN capability and AiMesh compatability. I have this paired with a TRENDnet TEG-S762 10g switch to feed the AiMesh nodes at 2.5g. All cables are Cat 8 (supposedly). Overall, a very powerful router, although expensive. I feel it should serve my purposes for 5-7 years before everything is switched over to Wifi 7.

> 3 dayI tried to connect to a 6G network from my pc but to no avail and I dont know why, I followed many explanations on YouTube and how to connect from Windows, many people suffer from the same problem, it works for some and fails for others.

I love shopping!
> 3 dayIve had this just a week passed return date... and I still could not get AiMesh to work correctly. It would be set up, connecting via LAN works fine, but anything via WiFi does not work. Turning the node into an AP extender wifi works fine. Using it standalone wifi works fine... as soon as AiMesh, wifi doesnt stick, nothing can connect to the node via wifi. Working with Asus 2x now and they still cant figure out why... so now Im just waiting again until i hear back from them. I should have just returned this one instead of keep AP mode till now to try and fix AiMesh... so tired of this wait...

> 3 dayYou pay quite a bit for it, and there are occasional hiccups in the wifi for smart devices, but rebooting the router seems to have cleared that up. I like that I can see all the devices and interfaces simply and cleanly.
