I mean it’s on the lower cheap end for 4k monitors, it’s got solid Picture quality, the response time is okay, it’s a solid budget monitor hardest thing is tuning the settings.

Turns out there are actually 2 sizes of monitor considered 4k. One is true 4K, and this monitor is the other one, slightly less vertical resolution than true 4k. Be aware that, if you have your statusbar.on the bottom of you screen, it will actually be off screen. Your cursor is a little hard to mouse over the icons when you cant actually see them. I moved my status bar, but it collides with other mouse over features on the other edges. A little frustrating.

The resolution is of course great but 60 he is killing me in many games. The screen tearing is awful, but for feeling high res images and streaming its greta

I have had this monitor for 16 months now and it has lived up to my expectations in every way. The picture is sharp and clear and the colors are vibrant. Not a gamer, so over-top specs were not was I was looking for. I needed a good general purpose monitor that would be suitable for watching sports too. I having been planning to update my graphics card (like so many for us) but still using my old Nvidia GTX1060, which is not quite up to the mark for MSFS 2020. Even so, this monitor displays great scenery. If you are looking for a good solid monitor that will serve you well for years, I highly recommend this monitor.

(Update A year later) I think the engineers who created the navigation interface on this monitor may be dumb enough to qualify for government assistance. You normally cant turn this monitor off unless there is a signal coming in from the computer. With some operating systems, locking the screen immediately shuts off the video signal rendering this monitor incapable of being shut off until you wake up the computer and wait for the monitor to realize there is a signal. Something that should be quick is now an entire order of events that can take you 10+ seconds as the operator to wait for everything to occur just so you can access the turn off power function. Over time, this is costly. If you dont value your time, this may be a good monitor for you. I have been using this for a month with positive results. As long as you only have one powered computer connected to the monitor at a time, it is a fine monitor. BUT, if you connect a second computer this thing will make you want to throw a brick through it. It has a setting to choose which input you want to view. But it behaves like a mentally disabled child who thinks it knows better than you and switches away from the input you want to be viewing. This means if your computer switches video modes, hasnt come up yet, .... you are likely to be viewing another input you didnt want to see. And the other benefit (sarcasm) of this monitor is its fantastic (sarcasm) single button directional interface. You get to navigate the multi step menu each time this child thinks it knows which monitor you want to view. And if you arent frustrated yet, the menu system seems to be or become inaccessible when the monitor cant lock onto any input or the input changes on its own. So if you are in the middle of working with the one button menu system and the monitor thinks it needs to automatically do something for you, it will take down the menu letting you start over. And you can only start over if the monitor is in a state where it will permit the menu to launch. You would think that would be powered on. But no, it seems like it has to have a proper video connection before you can use it. If you are trying to figure out what is happening in certain circumstances, you will ultimately find it best to physically disconnect all other inputs. As mentioned before, as long as you dont use it with 2 powered computers, the monitor should work fine for you.

They say it has HDMI and DP dual use, I used HDMI since I purchased it in May, worked fine. All of a sudden, last week it switched to 1080P only, and supports only answer is get DP, which my computer does not support. So no help from support at all, and no explanation of why it changed. Just replace HDMI with DP. So they are not very truthful about the dual support.

I have this monitor hooked up to a Mac Pro. I have yet to try any games on it, so no info there. Contrary to other reviews I have not found problems with cursor traces or issues related to coding. I am currently running it with stock-sized GUI which means very small characters, but that also means I have 4 times the amount of screen real estate to run debugging, etc. I rated it 4 stars because its not as nice as my iMac with 27 Retina display. Thats an unfair comparison but it still holds up well and is much less expensive. I wish it had speakers but the Mac Pro has rudimentary sound and Im using it for coding not gaming, so the low fidelity is OK.

[Update on 1/22/2021] VGA to HDMI Adapter (please see below for a reason I had to get it) arrived and used it. Yup! That worked fine! The fact that the display port quit working sucked but I am quite happy with the monitor. Overall, it is a great monitor. I dont play games on it so I cannot rate on that. I use it for two purposes. As a 2nd monitor for my Mac and as a normal monitor for my PC. For 2 days, the display port was working but on and off. On the 3rd day, it quit working. I used an HDMI cord that came with the monitor, it works fine. Unfortunately, my PC (very old) doesnt have any HDMI ports but VGA and Display so I order an adaptor for the VGA port. -> VGA to HDMI Adapter Converter with Audio,(PC VGA Source Output to TV/Monitor with HDMI Connector),FOINNEX Active Male VGA in Female HDMI 1080p Video Dongle adaptador for Computer,Laptop,Projector Havent received it yet so I will report how it goes when it arrives.

I bought this monitor to use at its native resolution (4K) with a 2019 16 Macbook Pro for my daily work monitor. This results in really small text for most people, but I love all the screen real estate. Right off the bat, I noticed that text was frustratingly fuzzy at 4K and went down the rabbit hole of tweaking macOS settings to get the text to look sharp. This was to no avail, even after HiDPI / retina mode where the OS renders an 8K framebuffer and then downsamples to 4K for output). And yes, I tried different cables including the provided HDMI (through a USB-C hub) and a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I then started to notice that colors on the dock looked really off--yellow was almost indistinguishable from white, and everything seemed a bit faded. After a couple hours I realized that not only is the color reproduction poor, but this monitor has TERRIBLE viewing angles, so bad that even sitting at my desk about 24 from the screen, there is a massive color shift from the middle to the bottom of the screen. After doing some more research, I determined that the type of panel used (TN) is known to have these issues. The final straw was I noticed backlight bleed at the corners, and once its seen you cant unsee it... Since Im not interested in the fast response time for gaming, I realized this monitor is not for me. I returned it and ultimately bought a 4K 27 Samsung monitor with an IPS panel (was notably more expensive, around $400) and have no issues with color, viewing angles, or text sharpness.
