16-11-2024Turns out there are actually 2 sizes of monitor considered 4k. One is true 4K, and this monitor is the other one, slightly less vertical resolution than true 4k. Be aware that, if you have your statusbar.on the bottom of you screen, it will actually be off screen. Your cursor is a little hard to mouse over the icons when you cant actually see them. I moved my status bar, but it collides with other mouse over features on the other edges. A little frustrating.

> 3 dayI love the quality of this screen. received it and connected it to my PC. read some articles about the display port vs. HDMI. I decided to go with the Display port connection and of course had to install drivers. once the drivers were installed the free sync feature is great. knows what to display and when. the only thing i have to say is that if you think its plug and play at max res, youre sadly mistaken. there is a setting in the monitor that you have to turn on for the free sync feature to work and its oddly labeled. After that was figured out and my settings were correct and monitor calibrated, oh boy is it nice. i play a lot of Different genres of games and whether its a FPS or a RPG or a strategy game it out does what Ive known as a monitor for the price. highly recommended.

> 3 dayI work a lot of hours from a home office and run 2xUHD and 2xHD monitors on my dev machine. My Sceptre UHD recently failed and unfortunately that model is no longer available. I figured I would go with Asus, a brand name I know. and I regret that decision immensely. First off, when compared to my Sceptre (which I got for about 2/3 the price of this), the picture quality is absolutely terrible. I find smaller fonts difficult to read and there are various dark areas on the screen which makes the entire picture look wavy. I could not get the Display Port connection to work due to their ignorant menu button design. The stand is unattractive as well, although thats hardly the basis for my bad review. If I end up getting the DP to work and picture quality improves, Ill update my review accordingly, but until then this was too much money for a sub-par product. In summary, I miss my old Sceptre, which was cheap and may not have lasted as long as other brands, but at least the picture quality was incredible. Asus as a brand has been letting me down more and more over the years and I have a feeling this will be my last purchase of one of their products. Each and every day I feel more and more like buying products on Amazon is akin to buying on eBay, where you just cross your fingers and hope the ways in which the seller took advantage of you are ones that you can overcome. In the case of this monitor, there is no way I am going to spend the rest of my year working in front of this screen. My eyeballs already ache from the strain of trying to discern letters in this review as I type.

> 3 dayThe monitor has been working well for about a year, the display looks good, but I’m not playing games or editing photos so I’m not a good source for a critical review. What I find annoying is the screen saver. I’ve been unable to find any way to change the period before it goes to sleep or to disable it. You have to push a button on the back of the monitor to wake it up. If it’s in sleep mode and you want to turn it off, you have to push the button, wait for it to wake up, and then slide button to turn it off. LAME!

> 3 dayEste monitor me ha permitido lo que quería; tener en pantalla todos los elementos que quiero editar: imágenes y videos. Tengo mejor brillo y resolución; en los trabajos de Excel consigo hojas completas y sin necesidad de usar las barras de desplazamiento. Vendedor atento y el Currier me hizo llegar el producto en pocos días.

> 3 dayI got the monitor to use with my MacBook Pro for work purposes, works great, a little delay and flickering when I plug the hdmi connector to my MacBook Pro but only for the first 5-10 seconds, probably just enabling the settings for the dual screen function so I don’t mind. Works great, very clear and easy on the eyes. can’t speak to its gaming useage since I don’t game with it but I have watched movies and it looks great. At $250 it’s a great buy imo.

> 3 dayIt’s a nice 4K monitor that isn’t excessively expensive. The brightness will seem low for many games and I find myself playing at 100% brightness, which is perfect, but it’s concerning to be at 100% for it. The picture quality and refresh rate are fine. The 4K resolution is worth it, I usually need 2 windows open while working and it displays them well. I usually lower the brightness to 80% when reading on the screen. The joystick button is very nice and responsive, navigating menus is very easy. The display light is nice. The stand is decent and it does allow the screen to tilt, but you can’t raise or lower the screen. The tilt is enough for me. The base is of good quality. There are no speakers, but I find a nice little sound bar that fits under it well.

22-11-2024For whatever reason, it flickers. Two of my friends got this and raved about it. Overall its great and I love it but the flickering is annoying and painful on the eyes. The first one I exchanged, maybe just a defect, but happens on the replacement too. Ran the same settings as my friends, they dont have the issue, I do. Kind of sad since its supposed to help your eyes. Been through everything I could to figure it out but nothing. Changed settings on the monitor and my xbox for hours to no avail. Ill deal with it I guess...

> 3 dayJust setting up two of these displays to support my futures trading. With these monitors (and likely most others)—MAC OS is unfortunately not plug and play compatible in terms of resolution—you will get blurry text and images. Im not an expert with this issue... but, since Im running two displays off my MacBook Pro, I also purchased a USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter manufactured by UNSTINCER — https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C24523X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details MAC OS INCOMPATIBILITY SOLUTION: With this adapter connected to one USB port of the MacBook Pro and then to two displays—magic happens with resolution—the resulting text and images are crisp, clean and aligned. ONE EXCEPTION: The displays stand is one height only—no up/down adjustment. While my setup can accommodate as is, be sure to consider this issue prior to purchasing or your fix might need to be a stack of books. Otherwise, this being just day one, they appear to be solid value displays—if any issues arise, Ill return to update my review.
