> 24 hourPoorly documented. A quick start sheet is all you get. I want documentation of the advanced features. Also, the people that developed this system didn’t have kids, for if they did the parental controls would be less of a hassle to use. The phone app has spiffy graphics, but functionality suffers. The speed and coverage is ok. A bit expensive for a poorly documented, occasionally difficult to use router.

> 24 hourIn the very beginning I was a little disappointed. Set up was pretty easy. I have about 30 smart devices. Most of them worked fine with a few exceptions, but I noticed after a few firmware updates it adjust and worked fine with my google home ecosystem. I have the main router on the 1st floor and the second node on the second floor. The controls over the system are pretty extensive and you have to play around with them to figure them all out. The parental controls are very good, but not as simple and intuitive as the google wifi system. As for speed it is up and down, but I am not sure that is the router fault as optimum is upgrading their internet speed system. I pay for 1GB speed but I get speeds are low as 200mb to as high as 800gb. I dont expect 1GB speed, but I would like something closer to it. I have found since the time I have set it up about a month ago to now it is performing much better. I still have drops but they are getting fewer and fewer. My hope is when optimum gets 2gb or 5Gb services I will see the real benefits of the router. Since I bought the router to future proof my system I have to wait to see where the speeds are. My hope is to have the system the next 5-7 years. For the money I think in terms of now its a little overpriced, but I bought it due to the overwhelming positive expert reviews. For the average person I think the tp link or linksys would do the job at about half the price.

> 24 hourIf you use two or more nodes, be aware of the connection issues. All nodes but the main one keep getting disconnected.

> 24 hourI did not deduct a star because I was able to figure out exactly how to use these in my situation. I did not want one to be the router and the other as the node. What I wanted to do was add both as nodes and continue using my Asus RT-AX86s as the main router. I must note that all my hardware is connected via Ethernet - lucky for me, my house came prewired for it in all rooms. I reset both devices and then was able to add them both as nodes - one on main floor in my room and one upstairs in my sons room (the RT-AX86S is in the basement) It has worked flawlessly. I did not try to use these as WiFi so cannot comment on those. If you can connect via Ethernet cable, that would be best IMHO.

> 24 hourMy Internet speed was way slower than the speed my ISP said I should be seeing. After much testing with the ISP, I was confident that the problem was on my end so I reluctantly decided to spend the money on a higher end router. WOW! My download speed instantly showed >3x improvement and my upload speed showed a >10x improvement. ASUS has this figured out - it was extremely easy to install.

> 24 hourI have a rather complicated and large home network and after much research I decided to buy this router. I had a few bumps along the way when I first migrated my devices over, and had a hiccup or two getting the mesh running at first. BUT, since then, smooth sailing and fantastic reliable speed. After much testing I found that I really didnt need a second AP with coverage from my main router. But I added the second because, well, why not? We have a 1300sf 2 story town house with a massive amount of nearby networks. And just the one router covers the home, back yard and garage great! But, I still added the second router so I could cover an even bigger area, and while completely unnecessary, its impressive! I had read numerous reports of bad experiences, but I found that by setting up the router, and mitigating many different bad devices, cables, and converters in my LAN, Im getting stable fast internet everywhere.

> 24 hourI bought this to replace a first gen eero system in order to take advantage of the tri-band ax. Right now, Im using the 6GHz wireless for dedicated backhaul, eventually planning to hardwire it after moving in ~ 6 months. Not sure its going to make it that long:
