> 3 dayWorked fine for several months. This morning It was bricked by an OTA update. Wifi would die after ~8 minutes repeatedly.

Greater than one weekI purchased the ET8 mesh pair because it was so highly reviewed. I replaced an Amplifi mesh system that is apparently no longer supported and was not performing very well. Pre-purchase, I saw instructions for setting up a DMZ (controlled zone for untrusted or unsecured smart devices), so I figured it would match the functionality I was used to. Not so much.

Greater than one weekWorks for me no problem. Have had no issues so far, no drop offs no speed issues. Also I have a ton of smart gadgets all working and connected just fine. The 6E backhaul is a charm.

> 3 dayI bought this pair in March of this year. Now, 10 months later, one of the pair (the primary of course) keeps dropping signal and providing *slow* throughput to the internet and on the local network. I can restore normal operations if I unplug it and plug it back in 10 seconds later. Rebooting does NOT work.

Greater than one weekI’ve had a 2-pk set for a few weeks now. I configured it and updated firmware and adding devices was simple. The management GUI is nice and modern but it is where some of the bugs are. It reports 6E WiFi devices as 5. I also had initial difficulty joining 6E WiFi cards and contacted ASUS support several times. The resolution was to update Win10 to the 21H1 optional update. Prior to that I made a registry update just to see the 6E band from one of my PCs but it still couldn’t join, until I updated Windows. I discovered this resolution from my own research, without the aide of ASUS support. As to their support, I can’t recommended their e-mail support. They mostly come across as techs I’ve encountered in my career that just want to update/work their tickets vs truly helping the customer—it’s all too common and not unique to ASUS. Also, I still have one ticket open…the ET8 product is not even listed in their product registration pull down menu on their own product registration page. So far I’ve sent a copy of my invoice and provided both serial numbers. Next I’m going to try to just mail them the registration card that came in the unit and see what happens. As for device performance on this mesh network…it’s outstanding. I upgraded to this mesh network from a high end single unit with two repeaters—my device performance is now incredible. I have 49 IPs throughout my property in use. I suspect the management app bugs will get ironed out in time, especially as this product becomes more popular and ASUS gets more end user feedback.

> 3 dayThis unit was blazing fast. For a week. And then it would restart every 10 minutes. For an entire day I tried a myriad of steps. Removing devices from my network, using the base router only, turning off some of the software features, and finally a complete factory reset. And then I noticed a review on another retail site posted the day after I purchased this unit from a user reporting the EXACT same problem. Worked great....until it didnt. Unit was in a cool room so it was not a heating problem. Asus used to be my preferred vendor for standard routers but this unit is boxed up to go back and a competitors unit is in its place. My wife works from home a couple days a week and fortunately today was not one of them but I cant have unreliable equipment on my network.

> 3 dayI had such high hopes for this product, given that it was a WireCutter pick for the best router, but in the end its going back to Amazon for a refund. Why? The quick answer is this: when the router is in AP (access point) mode it has some serious issues that I cant seem to solve.

Nothing could not find the network or nodes , did everything dumb thing , reboot everything in install and reinstall . Nothing . Waisted a day .

> 3 dayI have had the router since December 2022, so approximately 3 months. During that time we have experienced near daily disconnections of all WIFI devices from the WAN connection. WIFI devices are able to connect to the network, but lose all access to the internet through it. Wired connections are completely unaffected.

Greater than one weekWould not work. Customer service wanted me to send it in for repair on a brand new product. I dont believe I will be looking at any of their products in the future.
