> 3 dayI did not deduct a star because I was able to figure out exactly how to use these in my situation. I did not want one to be the router and the other as the node. What I wanted to do was add both as nodes and continue using my Asus RT-AX86s as the main router. I must note that all my hardware is connected via Ethernet - lucky for me, my house came prewired for it in all rooms. I reset both devices and then was able to add them both as nodes - one on main floor in my room and one upstairs in my sons room (the RT-AX86S is in the basement) It has worked flawlessly. I did not try to use these as WiFi so cannot comment on those. If you can connect via Ethernet cable, that would be best IMHO.

> 3 dayThis mesh system is average in my opinion. For the price I would like to see a little better performance. I haven’t owned any other Wifi6E systems so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I have owned Wi-Fi 5 mesh system that had significantly better range. The speed of this unit is fine id say, but the signal range and the user interface is slow. What I mean is when I visit the router web page it freezes up all the time. I have to cycle power on the main unit to get it back responding. Nothing freezes with Wi-Fi access just the user interface. Very annoying! So for speed its 5 of 5 but because of other issues I can only give it a 4 of 5.

Greater than one weekI moved into a new tri-level 5000 sq foot home and purchased this mesh system as I read that it should be the latest and greatest system. I had the google nest system in my previous home and loved it. I have fought the following issues:

> 3 dayThe amount of devices that can connect is impressive. Bandwidth is never a problem. Using Arris S33 as the cable modem on a gigabit Comcast data connection.

> 3 dayWouldnt recommend. It wouldnt recognize or connect to the node out if the box. Had to reset everything and load the latest software to get it to connect. Then once connected it would disconnect when separated by more than 10 feet, even though they were still in line of sight.

> 3 dayNode constantly drops. It doesn’t provide a consistent network connection. When it works it’s great. But often I have to either restart or unplug n plug back in. The node constantly drops. My 7 yr old TP Link was a lot more reliable than this. Disappointing for such expensive devices.
