> 3 dayI recently cut the cord on cable TV and upgraded to 1Gbps (fastest I can go in my area) service to my house. I started out the with typical all-in-one modem-router provided by my ISP but I was having the typical 1st world problem of coverage, lack of flexibility/control, and stability - so I used the money I saved on my cable bill to splurge on Mesh WIFI. It was between the Zen and Netgears Orbi and I ultimately picked Zen - I cant imagine going wrong with either, but the Zen was a bit more affordable and I used the extra money to pick up a pair of MoCA 2.5 adapters (Hitron HT-EM4) to backhaul the paring mesh node by wire vs. wireless.

> 3 dayI bought a two pack ET8 and what a waste of money. This thing is a POS and I am not satisfied with the purchase. After about 45-50 days it quit working properly. I contacted Amazon and was told I had to work through ASUS and that ASUS would provide a replacement. That was not true, ASUS requires the unit to be sent to them at my cost and then I am without an internet router for how ever long it takes them to work on it and return it.

> 3 dayThis provides excellent speeds and coverage. However, I have never had so many issues with stability in a router.

> 3 dayWhen it worked, it was great. Super fast, good signal strength, all the things... Even a great mobile app (I think so anyway).

19-11-2024Added these for nodes 4 and 5 of my gt-axe11000 mesh and they work great. I usually recommend these friends who want something cutting edge thats not a beast.

> 3 dayMy Internet speed was way slower than the speed my ISP said I should be seeing. After much testing with the ISP, I was confident that the problem was on my end so I reluctantly decided to spend the money on a higher end router. WOW! My download speed instantly showed >3x improvement and my upload speed showed a >10x improvement. ASUS has this figured out - it was extremely easy to install.
