> 24 hourThese rods are among the best I have used. They throw alot of sparks and very hot sparks at that. I buy them by the half dozen at a time, that is how much I use them. I have them everywhere I may need to have one. I cut some of them in half to make a lienyard to put around my neck when I go hiking and keep a full length rod in my pocket. I have fire even when everything is wet. I dont go anywhere without one within reach. I highly recommend these to anyone.

> 24 hourNice shower of sparks that stay hot for a long while to catch your tinder. Big thick size means plenty for my hands to hang onto. Will mount into a .50 shell for a handle, and enjoy using for a long time to come.

> 24 hourI would like to start off stating this is a big rod. I was expecting half this size as I was looking at several. I like the size, though be warned that this is is almost as heavy as the knife in the photo. If I had batteries for my scale I would’ve measured it. I will end up lashing it to the knife in the picture (also an Amazon purchase). Works very well. Please be aware of it’s larger size and weight if you are looking to tuck this in a pouch. Most rods for sale appear to be half to one third the size of these. Box comes with two rods. Good purchase.

> 24 hourThe larger rods are much easier to hold and throw good sparks.
