Purchased this to go along with my 2015 iMac. Few things to understand, buy a displayport to thunderbolt2 cable. Only truly supported option for full resolution on this generation of Mac. The size of the iMac desktop is always set to 1440p. They say 5k but it is impossible to view such a small resolution. This is why this monitor is a perfect second monitor for a mac desktop. A 4k screen is not necessary. Other than higher dpi or better backlight options 1440 or 2k is the best option for a 27inch monitor. Emulated Hdr is ok but not necessary as the monitor doesnt have the peak nits to achieve true Hdr. People complain about the stand or lack of ergonomics i bought the amazon basics monitor arm. Perfect adjustment for an affordable price. I think it brought the total to around $350 for everything. Plan on getting another one for a full 3 monitor setup. Being used for daytrading setup, so perfect resolution. If youre doing any fancy video editing i would purchase the next level up of Benq monitor. This however is perfect for Clerical and regular display use. I use the iMac speakers because you dont need both. They arent great but if you had nothing else these are fine, maybe buy a small desktop speaker if the Benq is by itself and you want an upgrade. Not for gaming or editing but perfect for work from home or school option. I included a few pics from first setup to compare the quality vs the Imac screen.

What you are seeing is a EW2780-L 27 monitor after 6 months of use which had the back of a plastic coffee cup hit the corner (accidentally). Lets define accidentally, my 4 year old daughter has thrown hard plastic toys with more force, stepped on a Lenovo E485 laptop screen when it was layed flat and so much more with little to no damage. The force on against this screen was as much as you flicking the screen by pulling back your middle finger with your thumb and releasing it! To say that Im disappointed would be an understatement -- they just dont build them like they use to. I submitted a support ticket to BenQ and got a response back in less than 1 hr .... We appreciate you reaching out to us. We regret to inform you that our warranty does not cover any type of physical damage done to a display. Additionally, a repair would not be in your best interest as the cost of parts and labor will exceed the cost of one of our refurbished models. So as you can see, the support service isnt bad but just unfortunate that these monitors are made so cheaply nowadays. This specific monitor was built in Sept 2020 and I recommend looking elsewhere for comparably priced monitors!

When you first set up the BenQ EW3270U 32 inch 4K Monitor | With Eye-care Technology, it might take a moment to get keys to the default settings because there seems to be a yellow hue, but that is the Eye-care technology working. You can always turn that setting off. Brightness and contrast are fantastic. You can see both deep darker colors and bright lighter colors with these. This is my first BenQ product and will not be my last.

Sorry I have to return this. It has high resolution of course but cheap color management. My eyes hurted after I used it for a while because the color changed every time I moved my head and the size of it made it even worse. That’s abysmal for designing. My suggestion: It would be perfect if you used it for gaming and sit in a distance. Choose other smaller 4K IPS monitor for designing and desktop working!!!

Great monitor eith great clarity for a VA panel. I underestimated it for sure. I was looking for an improvement from my 32inch 1080p VA panel and I got more than I was expecting out of this monitor. The colors are deep but I will have to say that the HDR can be a bit dull. Most experiences were better off without because it doesnt get bright enough to notice. The emulated HDR feature provided better color depth than actual HDR. Minor light bleed but only noticeable on a blank, dark screen. Works great with console as well. Xbox One X looks great. Id imagine that it looks equally as great with the Series X as well.

Theres a glut of cheap 4k monitors, and quite frankly so far they havent been very impressive. I picked this up for $450 on a cyber monday deal and after plenty of delays it finally arrived. Simply put, next to my LG panel IPS 27 1440p display and my ancient but sturdy Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW, its the weakest display. The resolution is fantastic. The size is great. The feature set is solid with multiple ports (I only need one but whatever) and USB 3.1c hub (sans some of the more extreme features like a SD card slot). FRC is nice, although it only supports 40hz-60hz meaning not an extreme range but still welcome. That said: Stick this next to a 27 inch iMac from yesteryear it looks cheap and its entirely due to the lack of uniformity on the panel. First theres the very striking shadow across the top 1/8inch of the screen. Then theres the color shift, no matter where you head is, just scanning across a uniform color shows the weakness of the panel as flat color looks anything but flat. Fast scrolls also reveal the overzealous low latency correction (you can see bizarre ghosting of red on a white background as a yellow halo). Also strangely, Mac OS doesnt seem to want to detect the scaling resolutions, (not a big deal as you can option click the scaled resolutions). Precision color this is not. If youre not a discerning type, this probably is a good enough for many users although I find the color shift supremely annoying. Basically, if youre happy with this display, never stick it next to a quality display as youll become very unhappy with it. Also I couldnt seem to get in Windows 10-bit to work at 60 Hz, which makes me believe that its only available at 30 Hz. In any case, its not true 10 bit as its an 8-bit panel with FRC, meaning, it accepts the 10-bit color space and simulates colors by switching between nearest-neighbors in the 8 bit range between each cycle. Over all, though the monitor is much easier to assemble/disassemble which will make my return quick and easy than other displays. I guess you get what you pay for, the BenQ PD3200u even at $200 more than the EW3270Us current price seems like money supremely well spent. Its IPS or bust at the 32 inch size as its too easy to see the color shifting.... /edit: looks like someone didn’t like this review and it was flagged for sensitivity?

This is what Id call just an okay VA panel. It looks pretty good on axis at a distance but the viewing angle is not good enough at regular seated desk distances. Even straight on, youll see some color shift in the corners of the display. I find this very distracting in any darker content, games, photo editing, dark themed text editors, etc. Its far from the worst VA panel in this regard but I have also seen better. In testing this, I found the color depth reported in the EDID table is 8-bit, which is rather disappointing for a 10-bit panel. Its not clear if this is actually a 10-bit VA panel or 8-bit with FRC, but if your input device only connects with 8-bit you cant take advantage of either. When I did override the EDID, I was able to get a 10-bit input displayed but I imagine most users of this monitor are simply using it in 8-bit mode. The stand is bad but also easy to replace. The monitor itself is pretty well built so just plan to replace the stand if you need any flexibility and things should work fine. If you are mostly using this at TV distances, Id recommend it for use in darker rooms due to the low peak brightness. Its got very good color range and contrast if you are far enough away to stay in the viewing angle sweet spot. 10-bit color isnt needed for most uses. HDR is pretty useless here but it does technically work if you override the EDID color depth and dont expect accurate brightness representation (no LCD can do this without full array local dimming and this monitor is uniformly backlit).

I got this monitor for Christmas and I got to say I am really pleased with it. It really delivers what I was looking for. The colors are accurate and the set up is easy. On games I am use to the 60 refresh rate and found it to be free of anything that would subtract from the experience. I would recommend headphones as the monitor output sucks.

Great picture and desktop space. Works well with my AOC monitor side by side both 32 inch. I dont play games so I cannot rate. I use a medium quality graphics card on my PC.
