I like how the built in sound bar has better quality than I hope for. The image and color is good as well. Would buy again.

Review is for BenQ EX2780Q 27 QHD 1440p IPS 144Hz Gaming Monitor. I love this monitor! Im so glad I requested this from my wife as my gift for Christmas. My original monitor of choice was the LG 27GL850 27 QHD Nano IPS 144Hz Gaming Monitor. But reading that this monitor is on backorder for months now. Ive waited for over a month still nothing. I decided to cancel and look for something else. Im glad I found this monitor. Via a YouTube video for best gaming monitor for 2019. I purchased this monitor in December 22nd 2019. This BenQ gaming monitor was everything I was looking for in a new upgraded panel. That perfect balance of the picture quality in color and speed for gaming. All the while this monitor hands down improved my game! I Have more screen to look at. And the sweet refresh rate! This monitor was definitely designed to game on. I Have also plugged in my PS4 via HDMI and configured it to HDR. Its a great buy and I highly recommend this! I have also done photo editing using Lightroom and wow do the colors look as they should. Only thing is this monitor is bright! That’s my con for this monitor. It’s not great in a dark room. You will notice that blacks aren’t truly black. More of a dark gray. I didnt know 350 nits is more than enough for my personal taste. But it performs fantastically in a well lit room. It also handles screen reflections/glare very well. Since the panel has a matte finish. Bonus. The remote makes life easier to tune settings vs the joy stick behind the monitor. Kick back and relax if you are watching. Sounds from the built in speakers are nice and definitely suits any office environment. Highly recommended.

**update**. Purchased a new video card and the screen flicker is completely gone. Great monitor in every way!! This review is still incomplete. I’ve had the monitor for 4 weeks and have noticed significant screen flicker on static images in games, specifically Fallout 76 while running 1440p @ 144hz. Still experimenting if the video card is the issue or there is an issue with the monitor.

I bought this Monitor for PC and my PS5 as I tend to hook up both. A lot of people are saying the PS5 doesnt work with it, but they are WRONG! It works amazingly well with the PS5. Yes the PS5 doesnt have 1440p resolution but your PS5 will output at 4K 60Hz as long as you use a HDMI 2.0 cable. The HDRi feature is probably the best feature for at least PS5 gaming, as I am always a person who adjusts the picture as soon as I hook it up to a console or PC. I probably played around with picture settings for 2 hours just testing it on different games for color depth, and HDRi sensor always won. Without it, colors just look washed out and not as good of contrast. The colors look even better than my Samsung QLED 4K tv The speakers are front facing and are fairly decent for built in speakers, probably the best I have ever heard out of a gaming Monitor at this price. The remote it comes with is a very welcome plus as you can navigate the menus a lot faster. People say that they hate the stand and it doesnt have height adjustment, but it is mountable so if you want height, buy a mounting arm, its that simple people.

This monitor is amazing! Its crystal clear, no halo effect, and easy to assemble! The remote makes it easy to change the volume and screen brightness from my bed while I am watching a movie, and the refresh rate is sexy while I game. 100% recommend.

Im upgrading from a benq GL2480, which would be a TN, 1080p, 24in monitor. Im not very knowledgeable on monitors but I had to return this monitor due to the screen randomly turning white all over while I was scrolling down a page. Reading other reviews Im wondering if its just an extreme case of backlight bleeding. But I enjoyed the screen so much that I will be trying my luck and buying another one which is why Im giving it a 3 out of 5 stars. Pros: -Speakers are a major upgrade from what I had in my prior monitor, and they are even better then the cheap amazon basic speakers if that helps anything. -I feel as though pictures really pop and colors seem so much nicer to look at when using this monitor. I tend to switch the hdri mode to display when viewing photos. -Improved brightness over my current monitor which is going from 250nits to 350nits. cons: -I would say the hdri itself isnt amazing for everything you do while being a selling point is a bit of a con. -The stand is a bit short, being able to adjust the viewing angle is nice tho. All in all I would have given this a higher score if there werent any defects, had the poor thing for a month.

I bought this monitor for both gaming and productivity purposes. It is definitely not worth $500 I paid for it, but I still decided to give it a shot due to its sRGB color mode. Starting with the positives, this monitor has good picture quality thanks to its relatively high contrast. The sRGB mode is accurate and does not lock the brightness unlike majority of other wide gamut monitors, which is the main reason why I bought it. Other than that, I did not have any major complaints except the stand, which only supports tilt. The design is also great, without overly flashy gaming aesthetics, which I definitely like. Now onto the main issue: the monitor I received has terrible color uniformity. I have read the reviews and I was prepared for it, but I did not expect it to be this bad. My unit has a gradient from top to bottom with white becoming yellowish towards the bottom. It also seems that the bottom of the monitor is dimmer. This is not visible in games, but extremely annoying when using a web browser. White color is inconsistent, and other solid colors undergo large change when scrolling through a web page. I understand that it is difficult to make a uniform panel, but such level of uniformity is simply unacceptable, especially at this price point. I am definitely going to refund/replace this monitor. Maybe I have got a bad unit, but there are other people who have similar issue. Too bad it is out-of-stock right now.
