Arrived with a pixel stuck red. It the problem doesn’t resolve on its own soon I will try to get it replaced and update the review. Also packaging seemed mostly fine but there was a scuff in the plastic on the back of the monitor. Decently deep to so maybe I got a refurbished one somehow? Edit: just got my new replacement, no dead pixels are damage, just the volume knob could be nicer compared to the last one.

This is my first 1440p monitor, so I dont have anything else to compare to. But so far Im very pleased with it. The picture is crystal clear and sharp (the jump from 1080p was immediately apparent), colors look nice, tested the backlight bleed / glow with a fully black image and found it to be quite minimal and acceptable to my standards (unlike the AOC 27G2 I just bought and am about to return). In terms of ergonomics, its true that its bizarrely lacking in that there is no height adjustment whatsoever. But Im lucky that on my monitor stand on my desk it sits at a perfect height. The HDRi I would say looks okay in certain games, I even had it on for a while playing Monster Hunter World, but in the end found it just a little too saturated / colorful for my taste. I wouldnt consider that a reason for getting this monitor. I am pleasantly surprised about the speakers. Its good enough that I actually just got rid of my $20 desk speakers to clear up the clutter and wires on my desk, and will go on with just the speaker monitors for when Im not using my headphones. Last but not least, I thought I wouldnt care about the remote that comes with it, but honestly its very handy and now whenever I think about changing monitor settings by clicking buttons on the monitor it sounds primitive and like a pain in the ass. I even use it to turn the monitor off and on. Worth the money, IMO.

Bought the BENQ EX2780Q 144hz. Im using TN panel before for my games. This is my first gaming ips monitor with high refresh rate. This monitor is perfect for my gaming and for my photo editing coz of the accurate color. Very happy for my purchased.

I have had this now for a few months and I can say that I still love it. It’s a great “everything” monitor. It’s not the greatest of gaming monitors if you are trying to go pro, but if you watch shows and movies or do school work on it as well then this is for you. On top of all of it, the speakers on this thing need to be heard in person to believe them. Insane! These are better than most tv stock speakers. No regerts...not one letter.

Been doing tons of research for a PS5 and work monitor. Hands down, the coolest monitor I have ever owned. I see complaints about the brightness, it is plenty bright to the human eye with HDR, not sure what that was all about. Even started watching movies on it. Horizon 2 looks stunning on this monitor, just in absolute aww, couldnt put it down this weekend. Speakers are plenty load and crisp, easy to plug in play with no headset. 1440p has not released on the PS5 yet, expected on the next update. Currently, upscales to 4K on the PS5, not getting 120 fps when upscaling (works in 1080). Update: PS5 now running 120 fps and 1440p. Totally worth it.

I got this for my son for his 21st birthday. He needed a monitor as he left his other two in a storage unit near his college when he returned home in March due to COVID. He loves the flicker-free 144Hz and the accurate color. It works great for both distance learning and gaming.

This monitor is a solid monitor. Highly recommend for next gen gaming. I use it for my PS5, and love the fact that it has 1440p. The PS5 runs games at 4K and the monitor forces it down to 1440p (although PS5 does not support it). Crystal clear at 120hz and 1080p. No regrets on this purchase, speakers are awesome as well. Well done BenQ, never fails to impress me.

Great monitor for xbx since it does support 2k/1440p and you WILL get the 60fps you’re looking for. Since the PS5 doesn’t support 1440p for some reason, it is ok. I mean, you will still get 4k, just not at 60fps. I used it on the recent cods, Cold War and trashguard, I mean vanguard and I will get the enhanced 120hz in game and yes they do feel very smooth. For now, I am ok with it. In the future I do plan on obtaining ga monitor that can handle 4k at 60fps, but those are hard to come by now since not many companies make them and the ones that do are asking for an arm and a leg. But this is the best monitor to get until 4k 60fps monitors b come more available. Sound is ok but it does come with a remote which is awesome. Picture is also great. Overall, amazing monitor for 1440p gaming.

After trying to look for a decent gaming monitor for about 2 months I finaly found the right one! This monitor is beautiful, graphics, sound and the refresh rate make it worth it. Dont think twice, this monitor has everything you could ask for in a gaming monitor. Also has gysnc available. Amazing work BenQ! Going to save up and get another one in the future

I bought this monitor for both gaming and productivity purposes. It is definitely not worth $500 I paid for it, but I still decided to give it a shot due to its sRGB color mode. Starting with the positives, this monitor has good picture quality thanks to its relatively high contrast. The sRGB mode is accurate and does not lock the brightness unlike majority of other wide gamut monitors, which is the main reason why I bought it. Other than that, I did not have any major complaints except the stand, which only supports tilt. The design is also great, without overly flashy gaming aesthetics, which I definitely like. Now onto the main issue: the monitor I received has terrible color uniformity. I have read the reviews and I was prepared for it, but I did not expect it to be this bad. My unit has a gradient from top to bottom with white becoming yellowish towards the bottom. It also seems that the bottom of the monitor is dimmer. This is not visible in games, but extremely annoying when using a web browser. White color is inconsistent, and other solid colors undergo large change when scrolling through a web page. I understand that it is difficult to make a uniform panel, but such level of uniformity is simply unacceptable, especially at this price point. I am definitely going to refund/replace this monitor. Maybe I have got a bad unit, but there are other people who have similar issue. Too bad it is out-of-stock right now.
