> 3 dayWould be a very nice monitor if it didnt have so much backlight bleed. We bought two of these and both of them have backlight bleed in the bottom left corner straight out of the box. Expected better quality from a $450 monitor. Update: A week later and backlight bleed has spread across the bottom of the screen, and is also now visible on both the left and right hand sides of the screen. Dark scenes look terrible and immediate draw the attention of your eyes to the backlight.

> 3 dayFirst thing I noticed was the beautiful picture quality, and with the tweaking of some settings on the monitor itself, I had never actually seen a monitor this pretty before. After I had gone into Nvidia Control Panel and switched it from 60 to 144hz I was DUMBFOUNDED, I was completely enthralled from first glance how smooth it was, even just clicking and dragging around the NCP screen I was shocked. After loading up Rocket League and later Valorant, it was like I was playing a whole new game, with a whole new confidence. I have to admit, I was legitimately a better player switching from 60 to 144hz.

> 3 dayIts way too dark for gaming. The B.I. doesnt adjust in the daylight. I wish I could have returned this for a better gaming monitor. It does have a good refresh rate and comes with its own controller and speakers. Good for a PS5 or if you want to watch movies.

Greater than one weekThe most remarkable thing about this monitor is that it has a a remote. The TLDR version of this review is that BenQ is using an obscure or new remote code to control this monitor that you most likely won’t find is compatible with your universal remote. This is a huge fail on the part of BenQ since the only reason you’d want a remote is to control the monitor remotely while using a different device (presumably with its own remote). I also own a 4K ASUS monitor in the same price range and it’s per much exactly the same (but a little cheaper). So if we’re being honest here, the only thing that sets this monitor apart is a feature rendered largely useless in practical application. I bought it as a second monitor that could be used as a dual display or, when hooked up to my Roku, act as a 4K TV. The Roku universal remote for the Roku Stick+ has both IR and Bluetooth. It also is programmable with an insane amount of codes, including 12 remote codes for BenQ TVs. Yes, that’s right, they didn’t use one of these existing codes and opted to use an obscure or new one. Since the stick is behind the display, you’ll need to control it via Bluetooth and I know of no “learning” universals that come with that capability. Sometimes remote codes used by a different manufacturer will work but I have‘my found any and I’ve spent over an hour trying every name brand you’ve likely heard and some you haven’t.

> 3 dayThis display is amazing. 1440 @ 144 looks far better than most 4k monitors. If you have the pc to deliver high frame rates in 1440 and want a high refresh this is the only display I’d choose. Running a 9900k at 5.3ghz with a evga ftw ultra 2080ti to mine and I couldn’t be happier with it. The colour saturation is bright and vivid, you get hdr10 on it, the sound through its speakers is actually outstanding. Can’t go wrong with this one.

> 3 dayOverall Im really happy with the monitors image quality. This is the second Benq that I own and it met the expectations I had from my previous one. I mainly bought this monitor because of the black equalizer option. I owned a Dell prior to this and I could not see shite in night maps in Hunt Showdown. Now I can spot people anywhere regardless of the day time :D I was aware of people complaining about the HDR and I understand that it might be disappointing for some, but honestly if you are buying a screen mostly because of HDR and console gaming then get a budget 4k tv that supports HDR. They are not that much more expensive than this monitor. Thats my two cents on that subject. My only complaint is the stand, even though I was aware of the bad reviews about it I decided to still get the monitor because of the picture quality. I dont mind the material but the height adjustment is very poor. Not sure why Benq decided to go with this design. I ended up ordering an Uplift monitor arm and will see how that goes.

> 3 dayFirst I had ordered the Asus Tuf 24in 1080p IPS monitor. My main multimedia display is a Dell 34in ultrawide, so I am use to the 3k resolution. I couldnt handle the lower resolution and screen size so I sent it back and ordered the 27in BenQ IPS 2k monitor with the build in 2.1 speakers. I was going to get a pc soundbar, but will no longer need one. The sound is perfect for what I need. I am not a headset fan nor want to take up the space for speakers. Stand is the worst, but I have mine mounted with a vesa mount. I game casually and 2K is the perfect resolution for a 27in gaming monitor. Just need to upgrade my 980ti next!
