Love this monitor, sounds great, looks great. Only complaint was that I was having some issues with the color profiles on it for awhile where it wouldnt save my presets and it would change the color profile when I opened certain applications.

This monitor has an exceptional feature set with a fantastic price to match. This isnt a purely gaming monitor nor is it purely for professional use, but its overwhelmingly very good at both. This monitor should be held as a gold standard in which all other monitors should be compared to. Every monitor in the known universe has trade offs between picture quality and gaming performance. Youll have to pick a feature set which is most important to you. The BenQ has a focuses more on image quality and color calibration over pure gaming features. If you are a professional or content creator that also like to game... well listen up, and keep reading! The BenQ EX2780Q closest competitor is the LG 27GL850G. + you can actually buy this and have it delivered to your front door... The LG is either out of stock or overpriced from most retailers. + Excellent for photoshop, video editing, CAD, programming, gaming, spread sheeting, or word processing. + One feature that is mostly overlooked... 144Hz for non-gaming tasks will make common desktop apps nicer to use. Apps will feel more fluid, scrolling through web pages, documents, and spreadsheets is buttery smooth. Even the Windows 10 interface is so fluid. So even if you dont care about gaming... you will enjoy using this monitor. + colors are phenomenal and will blow most monitors out of the water. The LG might win here, but by only a small fraction. If you are looking to upgrade from a monitor that you bought a few years ago, I can almost guarantee that your monitor wont have the 95% DCI P3 color reproduction. If you dont know what that means... well its pure awesome. + The BenQ has great contrast (1000:1). The LGs contrast isnt as good (800:1), grey scale is a touch muddy for my tastes. For most applications this wont be a big deal. The BenQs better contrast will be most helpful for photo/video editing/watching. + the BenQ is rated for 144 Hz and the LG for 165Hz again the difference between here is very minimal for most. Pro gamers will want 240Hz, but on those screens; contrast and color reproduction will suffer greatly. So if you are a pro gamer making money or want to make money by gaming, and have decided that 240Hz is the upmost important feature... the BenQ or the LG isnt for you. + the built in speakers are actually good... really good! Nice bass, good vocal response, loudness is pretty decent too. If i were to be picky... the mid-high range suffers a little. Critical listening should be performed on headphones or studio speakers anyways. If you are able to eliminate an external speaker set by using the built in monitor speakers, the amount of wires on you desk is greatly reduced. + BenQ might not have the brand recognition as maybe Samsung and LG. If this is your first BenQ, you wont be disappointed. + On screen menu system is basic, easy to understand, and yet has a comprehensive adjustments. +BenQ has packed a ton of modern features into this monitor at a great price, you will be very happy with this decision. Downsides: The monitor stand. It only tilts up and down several degrees... does not pivot, does not raise/lower, or does not rotate. It is solid and stable, and out of the box set at an average height. I recommend trying the built in stand for a while, and if it doesnt work out for you, just buy a monitor arm. Great ones can be found as little as $50. Good luck on your monitor search... mine has ended with the BenQ EX2780Q.

Bought the EX2780Q after seeing so many positive reviews and finding it can do 1440p @120hz on the Xbox One X. Pictures and online reviews simply cannot do this monitor justice. In real life, it has a incredible image quality. Ive tried numerous monitors and this is the first to give me that wow feeling. Color reproduction is incredible and it runs all of the games Ive tried thus far smooth as silk. For reference I play shooters about 95% of the time so speed is important to me. I have not tried the monitors speakers as I always use a wireless headset. I do see though where some people can have a problem with a few aspects of the monitor that dont bother me. First would be that the stand is tilt only. It sits at a perfect height for me and is very stable so not an issue for me. Secondly would be the cable management system. Im only using a single hdmi and the power cable and I dont really have much room remaining without the cover portion of the stand falling off. If you are intending on using the display port and both hdmi inputs then i honestly dont see how the cover would ever stay on. Then again if you dont care about cable management then its not a issue. I also really like the supplied remote more than I thought I would. Granted I play at a desk but its just convenient to access everything with the remote instead of using the navigation joystick on the back of the monitor. Overall i highly recommended this monitor. Its on instance where I spent over $400 for something game related and have zero issues justifying its price.

I love this monitor. Works great for FPS and lots of picture adjustments available. Only get it if you plan to use headphones or external speakers tho, the speakers aren’t good

I bought two of these to run my computer/streaming setup. Its a absolutely great monitor. Great sound, colors, menus. HOWEVER. One of the two has a very small dead pixel in the bottom right hand corner. (Normal people may not notice) however I do. And its my only negative thing I can say about these monitors. Cant notice it on games go often because of constant moving. But my black background shows it quite easy. 9.5/10 would buy again. BenQ has a odd warranty on new monitors. 5 dead pixels of white color. However I will probably use it for my secondary instead of primary.

This monitor is a solid monitor. Highly recommend for next gen gaming. I use it for my PS5, and love the fact that it has 1440p. The PS5 runs games at 4K and the monitor forces it down to 1440p (although PS5 does not support it). Crystal clear at 120hz and 1080p. No regrets on this purchase, speakers are awesome as well. Well done BenQ, never fails to impress me.

Great for gaming on Xbox One X. Monitor is advertised as 1440p max but it actually does 4K 60fps. Gamer 3 picture profile + Game HDR gives best image vibrancy/punch.

Note: I didnt see the manufacturer response to this review for 4 months... I apologize for that. Allow me to revise my bad section, I still cant get HDRi to work well for me I guess the ambient lighting of my gaming room just doesnt agree with it, but I did not realize that HDR Display mode let me tweak the brightness settings (where other HDR mode turn off brightness settings. After some playing around it looks pretty great. Still not the best HDR Ive ever seen but it is what they market it as HDR 400 cant expect it to go over that hurdle Beautiful picture. Even when not in HDR, you can get some brightly colored beautiful quality imagining. Colors are vibrant and the picture is crisp. The refresh rate works out of the box, blacks are deep and whites are bright. The speakers are fantastic. Its actually why I went with this model. I have a set up that splits between my computer and several gaming consoles and I didnt want to have a set of speakers on my desk for each. While I wouldnt replace my external desktop speakers with them they are perfect for my console games.

Got this to upgrade my gaming fun. Really like it and it measured up to all graphic expectations. The speakers are not as great as many reviews might have you think but any gamer spending this kinda money on a monitor is using headphones anyways. I’d buy again!
