> 24 hourUPDATE: I put this air purifier in the garage, and it is noticeably reducing the musty smell, so I am happy to have it, even though I found it unusable within the house. Earlier review: I used my BLUEAIR 311 in a 9x11 bedroom for four nights and awoke with progressively worse headaches each morning, until I realized it must be the air purifier and turned if off. No more headaches. So, I moved it to my family room, thinking it was better suited to a larger room. I dont spend much time in that room, but there is airflow to the rest of the house. A couple weeks later, I wondered if the eye redness and itchiness I was experiencing could be due to the air filter. Turned it off. No more eye redness and irritation. BTW, I dont have allergies. I bought this for house guests who are allergic to my cats, but thought Id try it in my own room. This was an expensive machine that I cant even donate or give away in good conscience, knowing the health effects it could have.

> 24 hourAfter using this purifier in my bedroom for about a month Im pretty satisfied with it. On the lowest setting its near silent even a few feet away and removes dust from the air fairly well. On medium its a big louder, maybe too loud to sleep with but it does the job when your need to clear smoke from the air. High is very loud, I dont use this setting because its too loud and the other settings do the job well enough for me.

> 24 hourTheres like this high pitched electrical whine? I think its coming from the plug, but not sure. Its pretty noticeable, more than other electronic whines, and unfortunately with both the unit and outlet right by my bed and in a super small room (7x11), its rough and sometimes I just have to unplug it when its not smokey, which is unideal. I cant really return it since the smoke season here hasnt let up yet and Im asthmatic, but I would recommend against this for a bedroom or a room you spend a lot of time of high pitched electrical noises bother you.

> 24 hourThis is a big air purifier, I figured because it was a larger filter it would last. I have smaller ones (different brand) that last much longer. I have this in my bedroom and the filter is already plugging up. 6 weeks. Not worth the money and new filters are very expensive.

> 24 houra little further (at least this particular model). I know some of the other models have auto settings. I dont need an Auto Mode but a shut off timer would be nice. This would help a great deal if they didnt nickel and dime to try and get people to pay for other systems. In addition they really need to change the controls for this device. Its terrible. Change it to either an electric or knob. The current control panel is a nuisance. In regards to noise, I dont find it bad. . BUT that may be due to the fact I always have fans and other devices on while up and about. Relating to size, the picture is quite deceiving . This particular model is bigger than it looks in the picture. Im not complaining. I like the size because it helps clean faster than a small room only system.

> 24 hourI purchased 2 different air purifiers one for my bedroom and one for my living room. I continued to notice that the bedroom still smelled like sleeping humans so I switched the 2air purifiers around. OMG what a difference. I’m a believer. I went to the grocery store and let it run, when I got home and walked in the bedroom I was so impressed. Highly recommend. I love this thing. I love fresh air and now my bedroom doesn’t smell like a closet! ❤️

> 24 hourSo far I’ve noticed such a difference in air quality. My room smells fresher and I’ve been feeling better. My building has water damage that is being fixed this year, but in the meantime, there’s quite a bit of mold built up in the windows and dry wall. I was looking for an effective air purifier and this one seems to be a great fit for my needs

> 24 hourPurchased this air filter to install in a child’s bedroom. The low sound level and compact size make it great for smaller rooms. Pros: - It’s A very quiet air filter even with the fan on full speed. - The Gray cover is great at hiding the dust that builds up between washings as the air filter is used. - It looks good in the room and is not an eye sore. - Auto Setting is a convenient way to run the air filter. As it senses changes in the air quality the fan will increase circulation and air filtration. - LED indicator will change as the sensors pick up changes in air quality. Cons: - The Gray cover goes directly over the filter membrane. There is no plastic sub structure. That means if it’s in a child’s room and child knocks something into it, it could dent or damage the filter itself resulting in the need for a replacement. - Without constantly referring to the manual it’s difficult to know what setting it’s on. This can be rather problematic if a child continues to cycle through the settings. Would I recommend it to a friend: Yes

> 24 hourIt works great! I can tell the difference in the air quality since I bought this unit (311 auto). But, if you run it on anything other than the lowest setting it is way too loud. I have it in the living room and I can live with the noise level of the lowest setting. But the next level is too loud for me. The bigger the unit the more air volume it can filter. So, if you plan on running it on the lowest setting due to noise, I would get the biggest unit offered. I think in my case, it would be cool to have the unit be programmable so that I could set it to change to the higher fan speed at night or when Im not home. Im sure they would charge an extra $100 for that convenience.
